Kickboxing, for sure. I might be a bit biased since I dabble in MMA, but it's seriously one hell of a workout. It's a body fat burner plus strength trainer. I'm already a very lean guy but I had muscle tone showing up like mad. Especially in my core and obliques, since that's where a lot of your power comes from when striking. MMA and kickboxing are the same when training, but obviously different when actually competing. So the striking is mostly the same between the two.
I don't have any experience with Pilates, so I imagine it's how intense you want to take your workouts. On top of liking intensity, I always tend to aim for that "train like the best" type of workouts (or anything I do, really).
So you can workout like a soccer mom, or you can workout like a badass ;)

I don't like either but is just my opinion I prefer a much different fighting style (s), you should try both and do whatever one you like the most, both grant health advantages except kick boxing will teach you to defend yourself which is overall much better down the line then pilates. Just make sure if you do it you go to a teacher that is actually teaching self defense and knows what he or she is doing.
I've done both and I prefer Pilates. But it's up to you! Kick boxing is more cardio and better for burning fat (and learning to fight haha), while Pilates is better for building muscle, especially for your core.
Would also take kickboxing. It gives you an explosive trained body and you can use it in case of difficulty

Kick boxing ! What the hell are you goimg to do with Pilates when someone tries to rape you or hurt someone else.
Tried both. Love both. It depends on your personality. Kick boxing helped me get through a lot of my issues and it reduced my anger. Pilates calms me down. I don't think I helped you. :/
I do kick boxing and it's great! It tones every part of you, makes you more confident, stronger, get better balance and co-ordination and burn fat.
Pilates. It is quite colorie consuming and it will tone you up.

Kickboxing... much harder and more fast paced. It will tone u up quicker, help with blood circulation, and make you stronger.
