The problem people have is getting hung up on the number the scale says. Your lifting weights and muscle is going to weigh more than fat does so your lbs might not be dropping at the rate you hope but your putting on muscle which is obviously better. Your body burns both calories and carbs. People always look at the caloric intake and eat things that are low in calories but most of those things have quite a lot of fat despite being "healthy" See how you feel and how your clothes are fitting and don't get so hung up on being a certain weight.

Hard to say exactly how much. The first month you will lose the most. Then as you start to even out and gain muscle it will dwindle. When it levels off then you are at your perfect weight.
it's more about your calorie intake not your exercise - 1200 calories a day with cardio for 1 hour a day will get you to lose 10 lbs or so - but if you are really big you might lose more..
how many calories are you eating and how many calories are you expending?
