Not necessarily. Losing weight does not give you immediate confidence. It is helpful, but it won't get rid of a mind that has ALWAYS been negative.
I've always been pretty small, but my bestie is a big girl. She lost 80 lbs and thought she would just immediately be happy. She wasn't. She was still depressed and still unhappy because, while she lost the weight, she didn't work on what the problem really was: her unhealthy mentality. She gained the weight back and is now trying to get back on track, but she got mentally well and went at it again for the sake of being healthy rather than for a superficial reason.

Not necessarily. For some it helps a ton because they start to appreciate their body and all the things it can do so much more as they progress. For others, they always see themselves the same way no matter how different they look. It really depends on how they go about losing the weight, the emotional status during the process and how quickly it happened. Body dysmorphia and disordered eating are serious problem that can occur and will need to be addressed with a therapist. It doesn't happen to all though, usually people feel pretty great about themselves after, especially if they keep up the HEALTHY habits.
It will but not in the way you think. I feel like I look the same after losing weight. But I feel better and have accepted myself completely. I'm now slowly building confidence. You can too. You have to lose the weight for yourself for reasons other than just looks. But accepting yourself completely and liking yourself is the only true way to build it.
Yes, but not because of the weight loss itself. When you lose weight, you will start to become more comfortable in your own skin and THAT is what'll make you more confident. It's not an automatic thing, it takes time.

No. Confidence comes from within and from knowing who and what you are... has nothing to do with what you see in the mirror...
If you'll feel more confident then yes. If you don't think you will no.
Maybe... Maybe not... well it did for me :)
It will not.
