I do high intensity training on the elliptical 3-5 days/week for 30 minutes and panting and covered with sweat when I'm done... no reading, watching TV or listening to music. I'm there to get the job done! Heart rate in the stratosphere!!!
No way, u must be really focused, I need music when doing cardio otherwise I'm miserable
its gotta be kickboxing cardio.
holy shit nothing makes me want to throw up sooner cause I always go HAM. fuck a decent pace.
whip out that tae bo work out video!!! Hell yuh!!
@ThatAsianFellow and then muay thai the next day, fucking love it!
Well kicking the bag all day is where its at and conditioning my shins. Always making sure my kicks exceed that pain threshold for maximum power
@ThatAsianFellow my right shins are good to go but my left shins are being a little bitch with roundhouse kicks to the bag.
Its alright man im still recovering from a bad fracture in my right shin from a bad kick. Its been about 8 months now.
@ThatAsianFellow damn that sucks, hope it heals well and back to normal. its actually not the shin bone, the bone itself is fine, its the skin around my shin that hurts like a mofo when it makes contact with the bag. it feels like an intense indian burn.
Ahh!! Well you also got to scrape the skin with a metal or wooden rod to kill all the nerve endings.. But kicking the bag also helps kill those nerve endings as well over time.
No nerve endings = Burning sensation
But yeah landing a cut kick into someone's knee.. Kinda hurts!
@ThatAsianFellow damn son no shin guards?
and yeah ima just keep on kicking the bag and not be a little bitch about it until I get better hahaa
Woops i meant to say
* no nerve endings = no burning sensation*
But yeah we don't use shin guards because its part of conditioning process.
@ThatAsianFellow that makes sense, I don't think my instructor would want to do that though, not with the entire class at least. perhaps during private lessons he will take it further into that but I checked a guy who kicked me with my shins and damn that wasn't exactly pleasant hahaa.
Well depends on the kind of training you choose and it's the coach's discretion if he feels he can work you past the limit or not.
Work you to the bone until you see bone from what he told me.
I've fallen in love with Sprint training but I recently pulled a muscle practicing high leg extensions so I have been just walking long mileage instead. But I absolutely love running full out. Best cardio ever!!!🏃🏃🏃
