Has anyone experienced a migraine like this before?

I had a really bad migraine yesterday while on my way to work. It started off as like a fuzzy bright line in my right eye that slowly got bigger to the point where my peripheral vision was completely blocked it was just kinda like a bright white. After about 15 mins or so it went away and i had a REALLY bad headache on the left side that lasted about 3-4 hours. I'm going to see my doctor since this is the second time it's happened in the last month and a half. It may not seem serious to you guys, but it really has me worried.

Do you guys/girls think this is serious? Not gonna lie, it's really bothering me.

It sounds like it could be migraine with aura. I struggled with this for 4 years, then it appeared to fade away with time. There are many kinds of medication, but taking a sleeping pill, going to sleep in a dark room with no noise around me worked better for me.

While I was researching I have read up on migraine with aura, mine fades after about 15 mins or so. Doesn't happen very often, but it has me extremely worried. I can still feel light sensitivity in my right eye. But I've read that that is expected after a bad migraine.

Mine started all of a sudden during class in middle school. Sometimes it could bother me 2 times a week, and other times there was 1 or 2 months between the attacks. The visiual thing lasted for 10 - 40 minutes with me. If I managed to fall asleep before the headache, then it was all good. - But sure go see a doctor and he could recommend some medication solutions

It's normal to get halos, shoots light, etc before a migraine and sometimes they'll carry over into the migraine but not being able to see at all out of that eye is a little odd.

Hm, well I could see if I turned my eye to the right. But it was just really bright/white where I could ALMOST not see anything unless I intentionally looked. It's kinda scary, I'm hoping it's just a regular migraine maybe associated with overheating.

i get the left side of the migraine a lot like everyday almost... which is nice just sit down but keep you head up drink a lot and take some codine

Not like yours but I'm prone to migraines every time the season changes.

It's not that serious. The pain is annoying, but if you take advantage of the 15 - 30 min delay, you should try to fall asleep before the headache starts. - and please don't drive during the vision disability. Hopefully you will get rid of it with time.
