Is doing pushups and squats every day a good idea to change up my strength training routine?

I usually go to the gym to do strength training and cardio, three days a week (working the full body in strength training) and i wanted to change my routine; the gym routine was starting to get stale for me.

I'm a endo-meso bodytype and have plenty of muscle mass; I training to increase muscle endurance and cardio stamina. Currently for my strength training I do 25 body squats and 40 push ups (10 pushups using using 4 different stances) with no rest between each exercise, every single day with no rest day, been doing this for two weeks so far.

It is always said to take rest days with a training routine; that is the modern construct we are in with health and exercise.

So I'm asking: Are "rest days" that really necessary if one isn't lifting heavy weights for their strength training? Can someone safely do a low weight-high rep routine like mine?
doing pushups and squats every single day with no rest day is safe to do; keep your routine
doing pushups and squats every single day with no rest day is safe to do but i dont recommend it
no i don't recommend doing pushups and squats every single day with no rest day; high risk of injury
