I haven't lost any weight!

Ive been cutting back on what I eat meaning I eat a bowl of cereal, sometimes I have lunch depending on my day and what I have time for, but its usually rice, or raviolis, or left overs from a previous supper. I try to eat a very good dinner, usually a few bites of steak and a salad, without dressing and I don't use steak sauce or any add ins like that.. I also have only been drinking water... I've been going to the gym and burning about 500 calories there a day...

but I haven't lost any weight! I was hoping to lose at least a couple pounds a week, but so far.. nothing!

so any advice?
