Do you guys have any help? I really am desperate.
How can I exercise more and eat healthier when I don't have much time?
Do you guys have any help? I really am desperate.
You can achieve significant, rapid fat loss -- that's FAT loss, with very close to zero loss of lean (muscle) tissue -- by following the kind of diet that I outlined on this thread:
www.girlsaskguys.com/.../q1893247-how-long-would-a-transformation-like-this-take-any-advice-on-how-to
If you follow that kind of diet religiously, then you can do ZERO "exercise", other than the usual ambient kind of stuff (like walking and suchlike). In fact, on a PSMF diet, it's not even recommended that you do too much of what most people would traditionally call "exercise", since, at those kinds of nutritional levels, "exercise" would start to leach muscle tissue.
If you MUST "exercise" -- like, if you just feel like you'd go psychologically insane without doing SOME sort of physical activity -- then look into High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).
Read all about it on the internet. A CORRECTLY formulated and executed HIIT workout shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes from start to finish, so, it attends nicely to yr concerns about time.
If you are going to do this, you should eat anywhere from 25 to 75 grams of carbohydrates, total, from 1 to 3 hours before the HIIT workout.
If you don't feel like sticking to something as rigorous as the PSMF, then, the key is this: The closer you get to
• High protein
• Low carbohydrate
... the better off you'll be.
Also, repeat after me: "CARDIO" IS BASICALLY IRRELEVANT.
For people who are not hugely overweight, cardio burns so few calories that it just isn't worth the time.
On top of that, cardio makes people HUNGRY! So, more than likely, you'll just eat back all teh calories you burn off -- and very possibly more. (For a woman of average size, you'd need an entire hour on a cardio machine -- at a substantial intensity -- to burn ONE slice of deep dish pizza.)

Thanks. That was incredibly detailed. ☺️
I will start trying that. I am trying my best to cut out sugars and sweets but my mom is not helping by making cakes and brownies and cookies and all that. Lol.
Have you talked to yr mom about it? If not, give it a shot -- she probably doesn't WANT to stand in yr way.
I mean... there are SOME moms who kinda do that passive-aggressive bullshit (aahhhh I HATE this -- I never understood it, but I know it happens), where they actually try to sabotage their daughters' efforts.
And there are others who are just WAY too concerned about "eating disorders" and such, and who will mistake perfectly healthy habits for "anorexia".
If yr mom is one of these 2 types, then, you are just gna have to do yr best, all alone. /:
Otherwise, though, you may just want to siddown and talk to her about it. Same way I talk to my husband -- he's a fantastic cook, and his Caribbean recipes are to fuckin' die for, but, I only let him cook for me when I'm on "diet breaks".
Good luck!
I have made myself sick from not eating enough before, so my parents are all the time worrying about me and if I eat less then I get the dreaded lecture.
Also, I've tried talking with my mom, but she says I'm fine the way I am and won't help me.
I hate being totally on my own with this because I'm only 14 and I don't know much about losing weight. 😔
Right, well, parental concern is one thing, but constantly baking shitloads of sugar-laden diabetes-inducing "treats" is another thing.
I mean... I guess you should just think about whether it's enough of an issue to disrupt whatever harmony you have going on at home.
Mb you should keep a food/nutrition journal, and show it to yr mom, so that she can rest assured that you're actually consuming enough food. Her concern isn't totally baseless, y'know-- I mean, I've seen these "pro ana" boards and shit, and a lot of my oldest son's (13) female classmates are doing CRAZY shit, like this "ABC diet" thing. (If you don't know what that is, bless yr heart. lol)
But, if she insists on baking sugary sweets all the time -- and if she's trying to push THOSE on you -- THEN it's probably worth a sit-down talk about the whole thing.
At the same time, you really hsouldn't be afraid of letting yr weight drift A LITTLE BIT up and down from time to time. You are
a teenager, and yr metabolism is still in development... and this really isn't the time to start throwing yr metabolism out of wack.
There are studies to show that, if you do "metabolic damage" to yr body before age 17 or so -- like, if you semi-starve or starve yourself, and throw off yr metabolic rate -- then, the chance that you'll be obese as an adult is MUCH higher than if you do the same stuff later in life.
So, that's why yr mom is worried. She probably doesn't know about those studies in praticular, but, she has good reasons to actually BE worried.
... but she doesn't necessarily have good reasons to bake a shitload of cupcakes all the time. it's all about goals and priorities and so forth.
You decide whether it's enough of a deal to talk about, and then go from there.
Put yourself here, dear, on a Healthier Diet by going Online some Time to Find One that suites your Plump Plum Purpose.
Taking some 'Time' in between the guitar strings, and 'Taking' a walk Twice daily, added to the hand in hand hand with the Dynamite Diet will eventually get You where you want to be in no time at all.
Good luck and I have Confidence that you will be up and running in no time. xx
Try to do simple push up and squats. A HIIT regiment will only take about 15-30min a day. A 30 high intensity exercise is more effective than those running for hours.
To eat healthier, avoid carbs such as sugar, grain and powdery stuff (yeah whole grain, milk and such count as carbs too). Avoid sweet fruits and focus on vegetables and legumes instead. Eat a moderate amount of meat and some fat (so you don't get too hungry).
Eat only 2 meals a day and do not eat any snack but drink a lot of water instead. Pick either breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner. You need to make sure you have at least 16 hours that you don't eat anything.
You have to make the time sometimes. Any oportunity you can, take advantage of it. It doesn't have to be a long time or going to the gym. Even for example going for a walk on your lunch break? Find little things like that to do. When you go shopping, park farther away and walk. Eating healthier doesn't take research unless you want to get really picky. Just say away from sugar, sweets, etc. Look at nutrition labels, avoid high sugar, fat, sodium, calories. After a while you'll get to know what is high and what's not.

As the saying goes, "you can't work off a bad diet".
Eating healthier isn't rocket science; the main thing that I cannot stress enough is to get out of the "convenience trap". Make pre-packaged food and takeout food from most places an occasional to rare occurrence.
Buy your own fresh (or frozen with no added ingredients) fruits and vegetables. Buy raw meat and cook it yourself. Nuts and dairy in moderation. Drink plenty of water and limit your sugar intake in all foods. Pre-seasoned and pre-cooked food has added preservatives and salt that adversely affect your body.
Just take at least 30 minutes out of your day to exercise. Go on a run. Ride a bike. Run up and down stairs. Play frisbee/tennis/soccer/basketball/whatever with a friend.
Cut out soda and processed foods. Keep meat at a minimum. Aim to drink a liter of water every day. Eat more fruits and veggies.
You don't have to go to the gym to be in shape. I haven't gone to the gym since 2007 since I work out at home. All you need is a couple of dumbbells, a pull up bar, and creativity. Do push-ups of differing variety, jumping jacks, squats, lunges and crunches.
If you can't do that then you have to watch your diet. Cut out soda and refined foods. Drink plenty of water and limit your salt and sugar intake.
Just do calisthenics. Look some up on YouTube.

20 minutes a day at home can get you a killer workout. Look up HIIT or grab yourself a kettlebell and do kettlebell workouts. Kettlebells are amazing.
Sometimes you need to make the time. For diet, though, I suggest cutting out carbs. Google the basics of how the Atkins diet works. You'll drop some weight pretty fast if you know how to follow it.
You have to make the time there is 24 hours in a day and if you want to drop the weight you have to run or walk and hit the weights in the gym if you want to tone up. Dont sleep so long go to bed early.
just eat less of what you are currently eating. That's the fastest solution I can say. At least you will lose weight, but not sure if you will lose fat.
If you can spare 15 minutes a day at home... put your headphones on... and dance your ass off... And Switch to oatmeal for breakfast... Have rice crisps for snacks throughout the day... green tea instead of coffee... Worked for me
Get your diet in check, it's all about diet. Always has been, always will be.
If you want to drop weight, it's about having a calorie deficit (whether that's through diet, or cardio, or both). To shape up, you are going to want to lift weights or incorporate some strength training of some sort to sculpt your body.
