Sure... if you want to waste your muscles instead of burning the fat. Muscle is much easier for your body to break down, so unless you're eating well, you're just going to lose muscle and keep fat.

Focus instead on losing fat (eating a lower carb intake and doing cardio work) and gaining muscle, instead of obsessing over a few pounds. You'll be much healthier, and it will work much better.

Well, consistently it would be unhealthy. Some people do a ketogenic diet where it's only water for 2-3 days. It can burn a lot of fat, but also break down muscle, so make sure to workout while that happens. Warning though, you will be extremely tired! Best remedy for that is to just ask for God to fill the void of food and be content with Him. Works like a charm :)

Cut your calories by 500 a day. Just doing this you'll lose a lb a week. Add in more exercise and you'll burn more. Do it this way, must healthier and much more chance of sustaining the loss.

Yup you'll lose weight but it will be water weight only and as soon as you go back to eating normal it will all be back again.
I think you'd lose more than a couple lbs but... I think as soon as you start eating again the weight will probably come right back unfortunately.
