lemon juice is good for getting rid of acne SCARS, like after the acne has gone away. yes drinking it mixed in water is good for your entire body.
to get rid of acne itself, you have to use benzoyl peroxide or salycic acid and let it dry up then put a good scar cream or lemon mixed with honey to get rid of the scar.
Sounds good because I have read many articles, I am trying to get cleaer skin, that say to drink lemon juice or apply it and tomato to your face. Let it sit then rinse it off. Also make sure you brush your teeth after you drink the lemon juice because that's where a lot of the damage could come into play with the lemons.
Drinking Lemon juice won't heal acne. It just goes out as p*ss and the nutrients MIGHT help, but you won't drink enough to see it.
Applying it on the skin might do something. It's an acid so it has a slight erosion effect.

I read about that a couple of days ago. It's supposed to get rid of the acne scars. What I did was rub a piece of lemon on my skin, let it sit for 10-15 min and rinse it off. After that I drank a bit of lemon juice and that was it. Don't know how well it'll go though.
I don't think that's actually very good for your skin.
