Use only about 1-2x a week at most, since it can be quite abrasive and a little rough. If you find it irritating, use it only around problem areas.

The only difference is that the first version has Salicylic Acid in it, which helps slough off dead skin cells and unclog pores.

Dirt, oil(sebum) and debris are what because the appearance of large pores and because blackheads. Witch hazel is good to use every now and then after cleansing your skin to help prevent dirt and oil from accumulating (basically) and helps with the appearance of large pores.
I recommend staying away from pore strips because they leave the skin vulnerable for more dirt and oil. But they are a quick fix if you have somewhere special to go.
i heard biore strips work well. I haven't tried them but I am planning on buying them next time I am out! also if you don't want to spend the money on that you can get the pba or school glue and place a thin layer on your nose an where ever the black heads are and let it dry then peel it off. I heard you peel the blackheads right off and it is only like $1.

On top of your facial cleaner, buy an exfoliator with a gritty texture to help clean your pores and use it once to twice a week. You can even buy an exfoliating brush to use along with it.
I have dry skin so I use pure honey and lime/lemon and leave it on for 10-15 minutes max.. Every night before I shower..

i've been using the garnier pure exfo brusher for the last 3 days,and my blackheads are already gone,but it's a bit pricey
I use Biore strips...they're pretty good...don't fully do the job but help...
Biore nose strips. Workswonders...
