12% is not unealthy. You shouldn't starve yurself to drop it, and diet won't do it anyay. You'd need to work out quite a bit to have body fat that low.like an Olympic marathoner!

I either distract myself or exercise (I walk 4-5 miles/day) or dive into fruit or veggies if I have to eat. I am big on stir fried veggies.
Gum and Don't let yourself get bored because when I let myself get bored I go straight to the kitchen lol
And how do you find out how much of your body is fat?
Chewing gum helps curb over eating for me, distracting myself with something fun / interesting helps too.

by changing it to salad and lean meat... that way I can still eat a lot. :D then it gets boring.. so you stop eating heaps, that's just what I do.
Make better choices with food.
If you're hungry, that's fine just don't make poor choices.
