What's your best weight loss tip?

Besides the common, such as don't go below 1200 or above your daily expenditure.

The best tip that works for me is for when you are first starting and are finding it difficult to adjust to the lower amount of bad food:

If you really want a chocolate biscuit (or something similar), wait until you are about to have a meal (even if it's small). Then have it before the meal, but spit it out before you swallow. Or you could just have half of it and spit out half. If you do it before a meal, you won't build up acid that doesn't get used.

After a while, I don't need to do this anymore. I either start to think it's pointless to have it if I'm not swallowing, or get used to the lower amount of sugar in my body.
