Take a look at the food wheel and see if you are eating accordingly. Most people in the western civilizations don't eat enough vegetables and fibbers, and they eat too much meat, sugars, bread, pasta, potatoes, etc. For your protein supply try to swap beef, lamb, eggs and pork by chicken, turkey, fish and soya. If you follow this steps not only you will loose some weight as you will also feel better, more energetic.
Regarding sports you need to practice an aerobic sport, one that makes your body burn lots of calories and doesn't build up muscles (with you being a girl I take you don't want to grow any muscles). The main trouble with sports is lack of motivation, and to overcome that I advise you to subscribe some type of club or get into a group of people that regularly practice a certain sport. Like subscribe into a gym with some of your friends, get into a fitness club, form a running group with your co-workers (I play football every week with my co-workers), your pick, but be sure you do it regularly and NEVER get lazy. Again, not only you will loose weight you will also feel better.

-When you work out, don't do like a three mile jog, do like three 5 minute sprints where you run the fastest you can with a 1 minute interval rest in between. Short bursts of high intensity work outs will burn way more calories than 2 miles of steady pace jogging

I weightlift, have a personal trainer (Which is a great motivator), and try different classes at my gym. I never thought I would like spinning but I love it, as well as zumba and boxing.
I eat right, but still have a cheat day. Lots of fish, veggies, and fruits. Avoid things high in sodium and sugar.
I look at Jordin Sparks, Raven Symone, and Jennifer Hudson as inspiration. Also watched MTV I used to be fat.
Every so often I go to the mall and try on dresses to really see how much I progressed.

2. jump rope & hula hoop 90 minutes a day...in intervals..circuit training melts away fat
^ jump rope = lose body fat & hula hoop = slim waist
3. apple cider vinegar in your 8 glasses of water
4. cayenne pepper on your meat
^ fat burner & appetite suppressant
^ sprinkle you only need a little. the models used this heap this stuff on their all protein diet and the ones I met up with 1 had gotten an ulcer (stress caused it & the pepper helped it grow)..the others have no appetite and their stomach growling reminds them to eat
5. 3 cups of green tea

I eat what I want, but I excersise a lot, I go to the gym for at least an hour per day everyday, plus a 2 mile (sometimes 5 mile) jog 3 times a week, yoga and pilates and cardio :) I also free run everyday, but you obviously can't do that without training :)
i go to the gym at least 3 times a day: run for 3 miles, elliptical for 1 mile, then swim for 30 minutes.
then I eat less than usual but try to spread my meals throughout the day so I don't feel bloated and hungry.
Get as much sleep as I can and try not to eat 6 hours before I sleep.Get your recommended fiber. Drink lots of water. Try drinking water before you eat a meal so you get full faster. When you eat make sure you eat so your not hungry anymore. Don't eat until your full. Cardio burns weight quickly. Eat healthy.
I used to wrestle in high school so I know a couple weight loss tricks. Lol :PBalanced diet. Cardio for at least 30-60 min a day.
Stop eating garbage food and eat healthy. Not too hard to grasp.
One thing that really helps- never ever touch biscuits/ cookies, soft drinks, pastries.
Cocaine... lots and lots of it ;)
