there are plenty of sources of loud noises that could damage your hearing...

Unless the person grabbed your head and shouted directly into your ear, you'd be hard-pressed to prove assault or any criminal charge. You may have a better time with a civil case, though it would cost you to pay a lawyer to file the case.
