The best way to lose weight is to build up muscle mass first. Not only does doing circuits at the gym make for a great cardio exercise, you build up your metabolism by strengthening your muscles. See, if you have larger muscle density (You don't have to be the freaking hulk, of course) then your body will expend more energy/fat stores to keep your body working properly. The best time to work out is right in the morning, and to progressively eat smaller and smaller meals through the day.
Your current regimen is fine for weight loss, but you should change it up or your body will get used to doing it and use less and less energy!
Drink lots of water and remember that weight loss/gain is 80% what you put in your body and 20% what you try to take out (Exercise ;D)
AND don't get discouraged! It is a time consuming process, but you will see results if you can stick to it. Good luck!

If you want to be a girl about working out then I guess that's enough, but you should try what I do...get two 5 lb dumbbells-one in each hand, throw on some Rocky music (for effect), and start shadow-boxing. Throw jabs, hooks, and upper-cuts repetitively...it's an all over upper-torso/arms workout and I would also say it is aerobic too. Do it for as long as you can for each set (you'll last maybe 1-2 mins a set when first starting), and keep doing sets for at least 20 mins. BTW when I say throw punches I mean as fast as you possibly can; if you feel half-dead after each set then you know you are doing it right.
I just been getting back into it and right now my arms/forearms, back, shoulders, and chest are kinda sore...and I'm about to do it again once I get off the computer.
