From the detrimental effect this burn is having on your boyfriend, I'm assuming it is a pretty severe burn from a fire or maybe chemicals
I don't ever recall hearing of a burn like that healing completely.
If it is as bad as your description implies. No it will never heal to the "as before" state.
Down the road he may be able to get a skin graft to help repair some of the damage. But even after that it will still be visible. Just to a lesser extent.
Now all of this is just speculation from how it has been described. The only way to know for sure as to recovery limits is to ask his doctor.

I think everyone goes through phases like that after a trauma. My sister was burned on over 90% of her body in a car accident. She has scars all over. She felt nobody would treat her as an equal or that no guys would find her attractive. She has a great career today and is engaged to be married. There are jerks in the world but most people are generally accepting especially towards confident individuals.
there is hope, look into micro-needling and topical copper peptides. it's affordable and many have seen good results that even laser treatments couldn't achieve.
no but there are ways to make it less visible. I think it's best to consult a dermatologist :)

find a massage therapist who is really good with essential oils. the therapist can reduce the scar. your boyfriend should be wearing some pretty heavy sunblock everyday so the scar is protected from the sun. if you really want to help him, tell him how is scar is sexy and makes him look like a badass. play up the he's a badass as much as possible and tell him how much it turns you on.
Scars are just tattoos with better stories. Tell him to OWN that M-Fer. Show it off and effing DARE anyone to give him shyt for surviving what would scare the hell out of them.
