My Mom said no to my dad twice because the first time, she knew she wasn't ready, and the second marrying him meant that she would have to leave her entire family, friends, and job behind and she wanted to make sure that she was doing it for the right reasons. They've now been married nearly 42 years. I did ask my dad if he considered breaking up, and he said no. He's glad they waited and worked things out because he never wanted to marry someone who had doubts, and when she said yes, he felt that was actually 100% true, and you can't really argue now with 42 years of marriage.
thanks for mhg
Depends on why, if it hasn't been very long or she's very young that's a reasonable explanation.
If she never wants to get married and he did, or if she didn't see the relationship ending in marriage then there isn't much left to keep going with
um for me it would be.. that really crushes a man. If you reject him once there's no way he's asking again only to be rejected twice.. nope. I feel like if you reject a man after he ask you once, you have lowered his chances of ever asking again.
that is a good question , I don't really know , haven't exactly been in that situation but I'd suspect things would be challenging post proposal rejection
Sometimes she isn't ready so I wouldn't say all the time

90% of the time in my experience, I sell engagement rings so I've seen this quite a few times, I only know one couple who stayed together after she said no.
I would say it's over. You want to spend the rest of your life with her and she says no. Where does it go after that? Shit is going to get way awkward from they point on.
It probably means it's over unless it's too soon and she just needs more time. The poor guy though. I don't know how a guy would feel about it.
yep. its done I'm moving on. not wasting any more of my time. I'm going to find me another date, or enjoy my life.
Well yes. Regardless of. the reason the guy isn't going. to want to put himself in that situation again... and will just create awkwardness
if you swing with your right hook even tho you're left handed, do you still get hit?
No? Because you're swinging out which generally means you want to hit something, not yourself?
The answer to your poll depends on why she said no.
I would assume so.. it would be too much awkwardness and hard feelings to recover from
It really depends on the reason why she said no...
F this I'm leaving lol
Yes.
Yep, it's over.
