Does getting braces off really change your appearance?

I've had braces for 3 and a half years now and nobody at my school has seen me without them. Im getting them off next week so i was wondering whether getting them off will seriously change my appearance? if you've had braces please tell me whether you found it made you look seriously different or not when you got them off, thanks :)

Depends if you smile a lot or not, honestly! Like for me, I had them for 4 years, and half of the people I spent time with every day didn't even know I ever had braces. But if you smile a lot, then yeah, people are going to say you look different, more than often in a positive way, too.

Yes! I've never worn braces myself but some of my friends have. I thought they looked cute when they smiled with their braces, but when they got them off, they looked really lovely! :)

It does to a degree, but not too much. It didn't make me look all that different when I got mine off.
