Why Being a Part of MGTOW has Changed My Life for the Better

1) It has made me happier.

When I was pursuing women and getting nowhere fast, I was bitter, I was dejected, I felt flat and I was often miserable as I searched hard for a relationship with a good woman. Since being apart of MGTOW which I joined in 2014, I have spent the last two and a half years learning that my happiness is not dependent on a woman and it shouldn't be. Being apart of MGTOW has taught me to find happiness in the places I ignored before. It's honestly helped me become a complete person.

2) It has improved my relationships with women.

As I am apart of MGTOW and do not pursue women and only socialize with female members and only cooperate with women in a professional capacity, my relationships with women have improved. I view women through a different lens as I am no longer interested in pursuing any woman. Women sense this and they seem warmer to me knowing that I am not giving off those vibes of wanting anything from them.

3) I attract more women now than before.

How funny, I remove myself from the dating game, I devote the rest of my life to being woman free and I start attracting more women. I guess it's because I am laid back and my genuine self around women, I am not trying to impress them or court them. I am not trying to be that "gentleman" or "nice guy", I am just being me, warts and all.

4) I am free from society's indoctrination.

Society told me as a young man growing up that I must get married, that I must have children that I must date, sleep and put with drama from women and that I must be a man and uphold traditional gender roles. This felt oppressive to me, it felt like society was defining who I am and what I am for me, it denied me the opportunity to find myself. MGTOW has changed that, it has allowed me to find myself, it has allowed me to define who I am and what I am. It has allowed me to break down society's shackles, it has allowed me to be a freer man.

5) I don't go through what other guys go through.

MGTOW has made me break away from women completely, it has enabled me to be able to sit around a table in a bar or pub with my muckers (friends) and listen to their stories of woe which usually always involve women somewhere along the line. Infidelity, Mother-in-laws, STD's, children, marriage, divorce, a sexless marriage, arguments about pornography usage, having to devote time to someone else. These are all things that many men go through and I don't experience any of this and I thank MGTOW for that.

I'm a former MGHOW and I see similarities here.

MGTOW does support men to an extend.
As we have been fed with lies and delusions and shackled by society, one of the way's out of there is MGTOW for men (not sure if there is an equivalent for females but I wish there was).

However
There are 2 types of MGTOW
1. The ordinary MGTOW (Just normal men, who do not want to get married at all or are not interested in relationships)
2. The Misogynists-GTOW (Hate women, blame women for everything, set women up as the world's problem number 1, openly practice women hate and attack women)

The reason I left MGTOW was because I was not comfortable with the misogyny some MGTOW kept practicing, that gives MGTOW the bad image.

Big difference!
You know you've gone too far when you turn into the type negative type of MGTOW.
I couldn't see myself in such an image and so I no longer identify myself as a MGTOW but I identify myself as Unit1.

This can all be achieved literally by taking a break from dating. I do it when I break up with my bfs. I encourage more people to do so because it seems like everyone is in a rush to just date or not be alone. I feel that many people hate themselves so much that they prefer to be with someone they tolerate and are unhappy with (their partner) than someone they hate (themselves).
But I'll never swear off men or relationships. That doesn't sound like the life I want. Though sometimes male drama and games do tempt me to be alone forever lol I still love men and feel the benefits of relationships outweigh any negatives (FOR ME).

We are in complete agreement about ok being quite a few steps up from bitter. This is why I feel hopeful for anon.

I fear the situation might be precarious. MGTOW crowds are generally to be avoided if one wishes to stay away from the black hole of bitterness.

Perhaps a break from dating *and* MGTOW blogs might be more fruitful still.

Yes, I'd definitely steer clear from that. I don't agree with much of MGTOW, but I do prefer if bitter people swear off as many interactions with other people? Lol that sounds harsh!

Yes. I'd definitely agree. I feel that many people here think that being unhappy alone, that getting into a relationship must be the key to their happiness. Lol au contraire my friends, you'll probably still be unhappy, just in company. I used to think this. And definitely had a rude awakening lol
And the vice versa. People here think being unhappy in relationships, must mean that you're meant to be happy alone. Ah, I used to think like this too. My god i can be a dumbass lol oh well, hard headed people take hard lessons to learn lol

I actually agree with you on one thing for once!! yea it seems that people, and to my surprise many women are in a hurry to date, why can't people just sometimes take a break and be by themselves.

It really comes down to RESPECTING YOURSELF and RESPECTING MASCULINITY. I think feminism, hollywood, media, public education and politics has done excellent job of demonizing and tearing down the ego of the traditional male. I say all this as a "nice guy" former beta by the way. Although I was financially successful and very athletic I struggled with women in my 20s. I then read no more mr. nice guy. doc love loves dating dictionary and corey wayne's alpha male books. This helped me a lot. It wasn't about turning into a hyper testosterone dbag, but it the fundamental messages was to appreciate being a man.

I'm still a "nice" guy but now I'm getting called a "good" guy instead (there is a difference). The nice guy is needy and does "nice things" with hidden agendas. A good guy just does good things without expecting anything. Once I realized this I saw a huge turnaround in my sex life. I am currently dating a very beautiful young woman who treats me very well.

However I feel sorry for the younger generations. If Hillary gets elect then straight men in this country are REALLY going to suffer.

You seem to be comparing apples and oranges. An unhappy relationship life is not the same as a happy single life. If you want to compare apples to apples, compare a happy marriage to a happy single life.

As one who was both happily married and happily single, a happy married life wins hands down.
