Is it weird that I call my man "big poppa" ?

Just as I asked in the question title. The first time my friends heard me say "Good morning big poppa" to him while we were at my house. It was in the morning when he came out of the room to speak to them. After that they actually told me it was weird and arrogant on his behalf to even allow me to call him that. I disagree.(I call him daddy also) So anyways I'm just curious is me calling him that weird, strange, awkward or disturbing?

I don't think it's weird I call my boyfriend Daddy. It took him a minute to adjust to it because he actually had never heard of a girl doing that but now he ask me to call him it. People assume I have daddy issues when I really don't I have a good relationship with my dad.
