Thoughts on "Steak and BJ Day"?

March 14th, one month after Valentine's day, basically v-day is for girls, and a month later the girl buys and cooks a steak and gives the guy a bj.

Personally I think its stupid and kind of rude.
You don't need to do anything fancy on ivalentines day, chocolate and maybe flowers. And us girls usually have something really cute planned as our gift to you.
Maybe dinner and a movie (split the bill, its 2015) and then you go home and bang. Great day for everyone.
I just think its messed up that a day of spending time together and being lovey-dovey (which certainly isn't what most girls I know want anyways. Pizza and Netflix is all a girl really needs) has to be rewarded or repaid with sexual acts.
It would seem like in order for you to spend time with me (or for it to be "worth it") I need blow you.
Most guys get a blowjob close to every day, but only one day a year is actually like a universal date night.
And if you had dinner and had sex on Valentine's day, why should you get another day just for your needs? Its not like ONLY the girl ate what she wanted and the guy ONLY went down on her until SHE came and then he didn't have sex with her afterwards to cum himself.
I don't know it just doesn't seem like an even trade off at all. and if you are both eating and cumming equally, why have the second day just for guys?

I think your take on Valentine's Day is in the minority of females.

Most girls do not split the bill on anything for Valentine's. Most girls I've known who actually have been in relationships on Valentine's Day expect small tokens, like flowers and chocolates, to be given to them. A decent portion of those also want a romantic dinner (which can be either eating out, or at home, with him cooking and preparing everything). There is rarely a "go dutch" or "mutual" aspect to the day- they want to be doted on, and usually consider sex to be the reward for it. If you're going dutch, you're in the minority.

There's also the "I want to be spoiled" crowd, who expect the full-blown course of gifts, like oversized teddy bears, jewelry, constant romantic surprises throughout the day, and so on. This crowd is obviously the worst, but girls who act like that usually don't get/keep boyfriends for that long anyway.

The "pizza and netflix" crowd seems to usually resonate among single girls on Valentine's. This past year, I knew quite a few girls who just got together, had pizza and alcohol, and watched rom-coms all night.

"Steak and a blowjob" day is seen as a counter to the usual Valentine's crowd: guys cater to the girl on Valentine's (and unlike your case, it's not usually reciprocal), and on S&B day, the girl caters to the guy. That's all it really is.

As a last note, I don't know what world you live in where "most guys get a blowjob close to every day." Even most guys with sexually active, committed girlfriends don't get a BJ that often.

I suppose you're right, but I have known many girls who go out and get personalized books made (like an official looking scrapbook), bake, and hand make and write lengthy love letters for their guys.
I think if the girl is being waited on all day then yeah, maybe s+b day would be nice for the guy. But in my situation it just came across as very rude and insensitive.

First of all, beef and blowjob day started as a joke, then someone took it too seriously.
To demand it done is taking it far, but I believe it serves both as a reminder that it's not all about the woman, and that men and women are different. Furthermore it's a counterweight to Valentine's, which you can't ignore have largely been about her, her, and her. Men have always been doing the most in terms of days like Valentine's, and if you don't believe me, look at how it's marketed. Basically it is "supposed" to go like this; he spoils her all day, and then he gets sex. Anyone else seeing a problem with that? I wouldn't be surprised if that's why it exist.

So I view it as a reminder to girls to take care of your man, and a reminder that sometimes you also need to take care of his more manly side.

But personally I'm not a fan of any of the days
You don't need a specific day to show love for your partner, and sex is something you do because you both want, not because he have done enough to earn it. I don't expect her to make beef and give me a bj either, just because it's a specific date, but I'd nevertheless appreciate it if she did.

Valentine's Day will always be about the women. I understand the rationale of just both eating and cumming but women but way more emphasis on Valentine's day than a guy, but its like that with every event. I don't need a Steaks and BJ day though. I agree that Valentine's Day is not a girl thing, it's supposed to be a couples thing, but it's usually geared towards girls, that's why awesome boyfriends (yep, that was sarcasm) had to come with a new day, aimed just for them.
If you feel the need to be repaid after doing something for your partner, then you deserve no partner. If you love someone, you do this type of stuff for them expecting to be repaid, you do it because it makes them happy, and in consequence, it makes you happy to.

As noted below, the average male is spending over 150 on Valentine's day.

The average male is not getting daily blowjobs. I don't think most married men get weekly blowjobs. The average married couple only has sex once a week, period, let along just a blowjob for him.

The flaw in your assumptions is the idea that most guys get a blow job close to every day. This is absolutely not true. Plenty of guys, including many, many guys in long-term relationships, get a blow job close to never. The fact that guys fantasize about having a day when they are guaranteed to get a blow job does not surprise me at all. I spent lots of time wishing there was some circumstance in which I was guaranteed to receive a blow job.

It seems that with estimated expenditures for this year at $17.6 billion dollars, Valentine's day surpasses all other holidays except Christmas.

I guess I'm more irritated than perhaps another girl would be because in the 11 months we've been dating he's made me come a total of twice. And he has the nerve to say 'it's a day just for guys' when I go down on him at least once a week until he finishes and not a day goes by where he's not at least in my mouth.
