Why I'm Not Politically "Correct"

Why I'm Not Politically

1. I'd rather speak my mind [to an extent].

No, this doesn't mean that I will insult anyone for no reason for me to feel superior.

No, this doesn't mean that I'll be disrespecting everyone without hearing them out first.

This means that I'll point out flaws honestly yet constructively if they're needed and vital for good change. Also, I'll make it clear that constructive criticism isn't necessarily politically correct. If it were, then we shouldn't be afraid of criticisms at all because of something I'll explain further at No. 4.

I don't say bad words when I don't feel like it. I only say them for emphasis and expressing intense emotions. I won't ever hide my feelings like how I keep my deepest secrets. If I ever say bad words, I'll make it sure that it won't harm anyone.

2. Political Correctness is social engineering— bad social engineering.

We all know truths, don't we?

Why alter them into something really different for people to say it's acceptable when in the end, no one would really give a damn?

Say I'm a judge at a singing competition. If I encounter an excellent contestant, I will praise that contestant for impressing me the same as I will criticize a contestant for, say, not hitting certain notes or simply having an average voice that wouldn't clearly stand a chance.

Oh, and am I bad for saying that this art isn't really deserving of a spot in a prestigious museum?

Why I'm Not Politically "Correct"

Yes, people regard it as an "art" for simply being "abstract and intriguing."

Lol.

Sorry, there's nothing here worth thinking about and if the artist intends to paint a hidden message here, then it's not our fault if we interpret it differently.

3. Political Correctness breeds reassurance, instant gratification, and false validation.

FALSE VALIDATION

I remember this convo I heard from the bus station two months ago:

Why I'm Not Politically "Correct"

"Am really that fat?" asks an obese person which I estimated to be around 185 pounds and a height around 5'2".

"No, honey, you're just overly nourished." assured a friend of hers.

Overly nourished?

REASSURANCE AND INSTANT GRATIFICATION

For example, if someone claims that they're fat even if he/she weighs 97 pounds and stands at 5'2", I will honestly and unabashedly say that he's or she's not fat and that he or she shouldn't think like that.

4. Sugarcoating is what it does. It's deviating from the truth.

I'll let this pic be a prelude to what I have to say.

Why I'm Not Politically "Correct"

By being politically correct, people are mandated to be considerate by using acceptable language.

Ha!

Nothing beats the truth, whether you hide it or not.

TL;DR? Okay. I'll provide a precise answer to my title when asked as a question.

"Why aren't you politically correct?"

Political Correctness is VAGUE. Period.
