Sometimes I find it "funny" how we spend so much time thinking of what we should do instead of actually doing it.
Ask her about something random that she might be into etc and try to keep it flowing from there once she seems interested
you guys have a class together you can try walking to class with her and ask for her number if you are too shy just give her a note with your number.
You will have to approach her by giving different excuses.
Or when everything fails, just act like a innocent shy guy and approach her and directly asking her in soothing polite words with confidence " Hey sorry for coming to you this way... Please be comfortable...just noticing you from many days and frankly speaking i didn't know or had any idea for how to approach or talk to you...i would like to know you and talk to you...if you don't mind will you have coffee with me?
You should just go up to her and make small chit chat about anything. If she laughs and giggles, she probably enjoys your company. After a couple of run-ins, it will be easier to ask her out for coffee, dessert or just to hang out.
