Why do most girls listen to boring music?

Most girls I interact with listen to either boring rock music or boring pop music or boring hip hop/rap. I am yet to meet girls in real life who listen to Electronic Dance Music or what ignorant people call "techno". Girls always obsess over bands, singers and rappers but I hardly ever see girls obsess over EDM Dj/Producers like you'll never hear of AVICII fan girls or Hardwell fan girls or Martin Garrixx fan girls. And there are always stupid bands and singers at televised music events i. e the grammys or the mtv awards but there are never EDM Dj/Producers who are given the chance to have "headliner" performances at these events. EDM deserves more respect and recognition despite what its ignorant critics say. And all the celeb news is about boring singers and rappers and EDM Dj/Producers are never mentioned like on TMZ, E!, and so on.

Yeah, I love EDM and I bitch about people in general not liking it as well xD. But seriously, I think you underestimate how many people kinda "like" EDM songs. Either they don't know what it is (due to the crazy diversity of the genre) as well as the fact that it's stereotypically a genre just for raves and clubs. In Europe and Latin America, EDM gets more respect for sure I think. But I definitely think there's potential for this to change in the future.

I personally think there's a lot of good things about "mainstream" music that EDM is borrowing from what with recent developments with EDM-trap and the countless dubstep /house remixes of popular songs out there.

EDM is for the clubs, to dance to in a lot of peoples opinions..
Other musicians the music tends to be more palatable for everyday life.
EDM does not appeal to the mainstream audience. Unless something happens that turns this around you will likely never see your favourite music on the grammys etc.

It's funny how you can sit there and bitch about girls not liking your type of music. But quite honestly, You are doing the same thing about music that is not EDM.
Maybe if you expanded your horizons and would appreciate other forms of music. You might have more success meeting someone.

lol Some types of EDM are suitable for dancing and so on but there are types of EDM like deep house, chillstep, and so on that you can't dance to and there are a lot of EDM songs that are meaningful but I guess you're the typical ignorant cunts who judges things without fully understanding it. Look up the definition of 'remix' it's an altered version... the fact it even has a 'sample' means it's just an altered version of an original. Oooo big whoop, the majority of artists lay claim to 'cowriting' even though they have maybe 20 writers and as many producers. You want an original song? Why use samples? You have to understand that the music industry these days is really more about celebrities than it is about actual quality.
