Whether it be a social media or some other website where people can comment, there is no doubt you'll meet many types of people. Some you'll like, others you'll despise. Here is a big list of the type of people I've interacted with on the Internet.
1.) The well mannered
I like these people, they are always polite and don't purposely try to anger people with their posts. They tend to be knowledgeable and also have tend to get respect from other people.
2.) The funny people
These people are very fun and are fun to meet online, they'll usually post funny memes or they'll type something funny that will get responses from others such as "LOL".
3.) The trolls
These people can be a nuisance, they usually type things that are meant to provoke angry replies from other users. They might say something racist, they might be misandrist, they might make fun of sensitive topics etc.
4.) Grammar nazis
I can understand if they are being polite about correcting grammar but once they start to insult someone just because they made a typo, it becomes annoying. They aren't the near to being the worst people on the Internet though.
5.) Keyboard warriors
If there is one group that I despise more than trolls, it's Keyboard warriors. They literally start arguments and start acting all tough behind computer screen. They claim to be toughest people in the world.
6.) Big man syndrome people
This one is not talked about a lot. Usually these people tend to shame people who are short in physical stature. They use terms like "Napoleon complex". It can be assumed that they are people who got outperformed in some way by a shorter person, so now they are bitter.
7.) Third wave feminists/misandrists and MGTOW
If you are a guy, you may stumble upon a misandrist that hates you for simply being male, if you are a girl, you'll probably stumble upon a MGTOW guy who doesn't want anything to do with you just because you are a woman. Or you may stumble upon both, one will hate you, the other will try to convince you to join their "cause".
8.) SJW Liberals/politically correct and Alt Right
Both of these groups are known for constantly clashing with each other. On the Internet, they have a "you're either with us or you're against us" mentality. If you don't identify with either of these sides, they'll start to be rude and call all sorts of names such as "misogynist, beta etc".
9.) Hema-boos and hardcore Weeaboos
The hema-boo people are rather new but they are basically people who assume old European martial arts(Glima, Wrestling, Etc), weapons(Cutlass, Zweihander, etc)and warriors(Vikings, Knights, Spartans) are the "greatest in the world". They usually start getting upset when someone contradicts their claims with evidence. They are obsessed with bashing the Katana and are very biased. They have yet to put the rapier sword against the Jian sword, which are two comparable swords.
Hardcore Weeaboos are people who think that everything that they see in anime about the Katana is true, so they think the Katana is some kind of super sword.
10.) The wannabe smart people
These people spout none sense in a way to try to sound smart even though many people debunk their claims. For example, there is one person that claims that the "bigger person will always win in a fight" A lot of people debunked this person's claims with logical explanations and videos that show the smaller person winning. Sure enough, this person would get angry and would start ranting.
11.) The high libido people
I can't tell you how often I stumble upon comments where either a male or female make dirty remarks indicating that they are sexually aroused.
12.) The bigots
It shouldn't be surprised that a lot of the bigots are on the Internet. They post long rants about a certain group of people, they type up a lot of racial slurs towards a certain group.
13.) My country is better than your country
If you ever look at videos that play a country's national anthem, you'll see some people commenting angry remarks towards the country. I was listening to the US, Japanese and German national anthems and there is always some people commenting negative things. On the German national anthem there was a comment saying "My grandpa fought you nazis, greeting from a Canadian" On the Japanese Anthem there were a lot Japanese, Koreans and Chinese duking it out in the comments but surprisingly there were some Australians and Japanese Duking it out in the comments as well. On the US anthem there were a lot of People claiming to be Canadians posting negative comments on the video.
