What's the right time to confess to a heartbroken person?

By move I mean it can be anything — asking them out, try to put feelings into words by showing them something etc etc.

And by heartbroken I'm meaning to tell from emotional trainwreck to somebody rejected by their long time crush. Heartbroken in any aspect. Emotional mess.


What's the right time to tell them you've feelings for them?

I usually wait until I know they're completely over their ex, or at least ready to date again.
You don't want to be the rebound, or catch them when they're not fully over their ex yet.
In the meantime, be there for them so they know you care! I'm not saying flirt or anything: listen to them, let them vent, or just be a good friend. So when the time is right to confess they'll see how much you're always there for them

After they're over what messed them up or you risk being a rebound or making it worst for them.

You can be the factor that heals them but you might just lose yourself on that path. If you care for them love them show them that you love and care but don't say it to them till they themselves realise it
