He asked why, since he hurt me so much. I got to understand him, his life, his family, his inner child... and still working together with him so that he can be the man he can be.

he just told me to go get my scuba diving cert. with my boyfriend so that we can do scuba diving with the kids. he will get recertified while our son get it with him. Our daughter is getting it at summer camp.
our children are very lucky to have 4 amazing adults to love them... we are teaching them to appreciate life because they have nothing but the best of us 4

Wow, it looks like a lot of people have had bad relationships and breakups. I thought the point of dating and being in a relationship was to figure out if you are a compatible couple. To find out if marriage is a smart decision. Wow, many people are toxic. My advice, think of dating as getting to know someone and think of a boyfriend or a girlfriend as a trial run to perhaps getting married. It's way less painful then expecting everyone you encounter is you soulmate for life when you first meet. You will go through a lot of bad dates before you find a relationship. You will go through a lot of bad relationships before you find the right partner. Just indentify the un healthy people before you start the relationship. Good luck

I’ve only really even had one ex that I consider my girlfriend (yeah, I’m pretty innocent 😇) but if she contacted me and wanted me back, my first thoughts/reply would either be “Am I dreaming?” or is “Is this real?”.

That would be my first response but after that, if she confirmed it was really happening, I’d love to get back with her but wonder why it took so long for her to finally decide to come back to me but after that was sorted out I’d have to say to her “ I’d love that! Yes, let’s get back together!”

Then we’d plan for what to do next in our relationship, since it was a long distance relationship.
