Why is my ex bragging about his life?

So my ex boyfriend messages me just to tell me he has been having so much fun lately, that he got drunk and chilled with a bunch of girls. He even gives me detail wich I don't get at all... he also braggs about how he is so happy he is single and its the best. Like really I try very hard to have as much fun as I can, and I really don't care about what he does anymore but why does he have to rub it up on my face? I gotta admit it makes me feel bad a bit and also jelous... Anyways what do you guys and girls think?

First of all , I think your ex is a tool . He clearly is trying to make you jealous and trying to get to you. I think he still really likes you and wants you to want him back, he's kind of trying to play ''hard to get'' . I'm friends with a lot of boys and the way they go on about their ex's . I really think it's and insecurity thing. If I were you the next time he texts you back be like "they'll never be me." Or do what he's doing , rub it in his face of how happy you are even if your not. It will get to him much more then he's getting to you . Trust me, he's the one looking for your attention.
