My ex girlfriend took my dog this morning while I am working at the moment. What can I do to get him back?

I gave my ex girlfriend the key to my apartment and told her to take her stuff and had my neighbor who is also a friend escort her but she took more stuff than necessary. She took all the knives, spoons, pans and pots. She even took my dog. I was just on the phone with my neighbor as this was going down. I can’t leave work. I don’t care about the dishes she took but just want my dog back. She won’t answer my calls or text messages to give him back. We both bought the dog on Craigslist so there’s no legal documentation on him.
