The dumper usually doesn't care about you until their life turns to crap and they need someone their familiar to comfort them usually it's someone like an ex for example something that brings them intimacy and closeness

Only let people in your life that deserve to be in it, and only give the privilege of affecting your thoughts and emotions to those who have proven that they want what's best for you.
My only thought would be if you were close to his uncle? or had ever expressed a fondness for him. Other than that, I would chalk it up to him hurting and wanting an excuse to start things back again with you.

I'm guessing he just let everyone in his contact list know about his uncle's death, as an act of common courtesy, and you are probably still in his contact list... people rarely delete contacts.
If you read the post, he said he was blocking me and would never contact me again because of family pressure. He said he was dine with me for good. I am not on his contacts list and there is absolutely no requirement of common courtesy. I didn't know nor had I ever met his uncle.
If it was an intense emotional connection then he probably misses that and is using his uncles death as a scapegoat or a reason to pull you back in. It happened exactly to me, six months ago my uncle died and he was really close to me and my ex took that as a try to emotionally pull me back in. He abused me, and then I finally left and Iāve been better for it

I don't believe in all this 17 years old is a child BS but 13 and 38 is absolutely a power imbalance and rarely not abusive. I think it is clear I want a hypothetical response since I was asking for people's opinions on his motivations. I know that I cannot know without asking the person and people lie so that isn't even aguarantee. I don't think my question inferred any expectation of knowing for certain.

I would hypothesize that the death of the uncle, particularly if unexpected and/or if he was young, aroused such anxiety in your ex regarding his own ultimate mortality (as unexpected deaths in young people are won't to do), that he felt the need to seek solace in others, you being one of them - perhaps (or not) the only person he could turn to.
Yes, autocorrect sucks. No, his uncle was old and had been a death's door for some time. I highly doubt I was the only one he reached out to. Knowing him he probably plastered all sorts performative grief all over his whatsapp. Since I am not on any of it I won't see it.
My assumption is you're somebody he had a connection with, now distant enough no damages matter and still had that relation so you can get it over some random person. Close enough to have had relevance, far enough nothing matters.

Oh yes, he was an attention whore. I dleted his number when he dumped me so I don't know what is whatsapp looks like but I am 100% sure its him being all sad and expecting messages from people. I would never validate him that way because I knew how deeply unhealthy it was.
I never would have even bothered with him if he hadn't pursued me so much. I don't truly know whatbhis deal is/was. All I know that my role in the story is written out.
