In the US women actually file 70% - 80% of divorces. There are multiple reasons for that. I think the most important ones are that women benefit financially and otherwise much more from divorce than men do, women are more likely to have unrealistic expectations about what marriage is like, and women tend to have lower commitment than men in long-term relationships. Lack of commitment is the #1 cause of divorce.

There is a lot of rhetoric out there about men being at fault for the high divorce rate, and while I'm sure that is true in many cases, the facts show it is more often women who are the cause. If you look at the divorce rates in heterosexual and same-sex marriages, the highest rates by far are among lesbian couples, the lowest rates are among gay couples, and heterosexual divorce rates fall in the middle. In other words, the more women in a marriage, the more likely they are to get divorced. And conversely, the fewer women in a marriage, the more likely it is to last. It's pretty hard to avoid the implications there.

It seems like a misnomer. I filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. My ex sued me for alimony. We fought it out and eventually had everything deferred. Then we came to an agreement. She filed for a no-fault divorce after I paid her off and covered her health care.

The divorce industry is a huge one, because of all the money involved. So when you hear about these terms for filing, just remember, almost every divorce is negotiated. And if you file for no-fault, because you are trying to limit compensation by one party or the other. Usually, there is an agreement behind the scenes.

This is anecdote in part but I've seen the Sam's story happen so many times that I might as well.

I had a 27 year old friend who was married with a 4 or 5 year old. She worked all day, her husband also worked all day. At home, she had to come back and do the house chores because her husband would come home too late.

This bothered her because her GIRL FRIENDS would tell her to be bothered. Half of her friends are single mothers with kids, telling her to break it off and take the kid. Hypergamy, child support, welfare, etc already incentivizes single moms but I think the "modern woman" echo chambers many women find themselves in add to the divorce. These echo chambers are literally women, abusive or narcissistic or not, encourage divorce for even the most minor offenses. The husbands of the two literally werent abusive or bad men, they just "worked too much" and didn't "satisfy her emotional needs".

Because many women are a more emotionally weak than men. Usually what happens is the man and woman get married because their genitals told them to, then about 5 years later they realize they didn't actually like each other, they were just horny and stupid. But a lot of times the man will suck it up, while the women will not and just end up divorcing.

It's easy money, it's not a hard work for women and laws all over the world favour females over males, so they just file a fake case or directly divorce

My soon to be ex and may God bring down fury of hell upon her decided to file a fake case against me so that she can extort me now I know since I am a guy all the males and females would be sure that I am a criminal and the very worst that male kind has to offer but I have stopped reacting to those kind of things coz I know my biggest crime was being born a male

well for those women, maybe their husband was an asshole. abuser. etc. we really won't know.

if the husband did nothing wrong (that you know of), maybe they didn't think marriage through so throughly. happens a lot. women want to get married young etc, and then they dig themselves in this hole.

yeah sure, some men will say it's because of money (get a prenup! !), but again how much money would you even get? because now you also (probably) have a child to take care of, as a single mother. and no amount of money will make that easier.

I don't know maybe because of the feminist movements, women were never like that, in the past when a woman heara a divorce she faints because marriage is supposed to be an eternal bond...
Divorce is only justified when there is cheating or continuous beating!

Because women have been taught from birth thst if there is something wrong, you just throw the relationship away. Plus in most divorce cases the woman basically wins the lottery in the form of permanent alimony or spousal upport. And the vast majority of the time, there is no abuse, no violence.. She's just bored or wants to go out and fuck other guys..

Frankly I think it has to do with the loss of social stigma in being divorced. In past generations, divorced women were seen as damaged goods and divorced men were seen as garbage.
