Why can't my dad respect that I can't take off work for a holiday?

A fee months ago he was booking a trip to Paris no matter how much I told him I doubt I could take off work and said yes anyway because he wasn't taking no for an answer and he flip his shit so easily. I have recently just changed jobs and can't take off work now he's giving me the silent

I can't really blame him, especially if he paid for the trip. You never said directly you couldn't go and in the end you did say yes. You should have just directly said I'm sorry dad but I really cannot go. You never should have said yes even if you felt it was a good idea to get him to stop, you still said yes to going. Now if he has paid for the trip he has just wanted a lot of money. Again you never should have said yes. You should have been direct and said no not that you doubt you can get time off work.

Another thing you knew your dad booked the trip and you went and got yourself a new job. Sorry I'm with your dad. In a way you wasted his time and cost him a lot of money because you never said no directly instead you said yes to the trip

He knew I'm working through agency jobs I get moved around a lot I'm only doing short term contracts with companies. Also I said no a bunch of times but he still never listened and also he will say things like "oh are you not going because of my girlfriend" you honestly have no idea. Also its flights within Europe like under £80 no big deal

Just move on. What's your point for keeping up with his behaviors? You have given him a chance. Now, it's time to move on.
Keep on contact if you want. But don't punish yourself for his behaviors. Accept that there are things you can't change. Even pleasing him unlimited times won't give the version of him that you want.
