Should I Cancel my Facebook Friend Request with my EX And Move ON?

Question

We have been "Fighting on the BOOK" Dealing with This Stupid Game he Plays with Other FB "Game Friends"(One of the Reasons I Broke it OFF) And with ME Being very Resentful about Many Things, I Taunt him on There and he Unfriends me At Times. Now I have Again Sent another FB Friend Request but this Time, He is Not "Accepting it." I did Tell Him in an Email NO GIFTS for His Birthday.(Fight on There Too) Could Be He is Bitter Over That Now. His bro Too is Very Sick with a Serious Illness so He does have A lot on His plate. What should I do? Cancel the Request and Forget Him? Or Leave IT AND See if He Accepts? Or Block Him now? xx

he's probably avoiding the pain in life by playing games... which makes him feel good... easier than dealing with life. people don't change til have to. this is a big thing with guys in my opinion... not games, but just having to "tinker" and play to feel young.

you can accept him as he is, possibly wasting your time since you don't seem to accept him as is and is taking up space from meeting someone else, you can try to keep changing him to help him grow, or you can move on. moving on would be canceling the FB and suffering the loss.

FB communication is just a hook to re-engage and it's poor communication as it is. better off sending smoke signals than talking with anyone on FB. P. s. You have no right to tell him what games to play, you know that right? you admitted you are responding to him out of hurt, not love or respect. if you don't want to be involved don't play.

this is emotionally draining on you, trying the same tactics, not working. its a life choice... your call. you'll be ok either way, just a fork in the road.

If there was sufficient reason to end the relationship, it’s completely over. If not, why did you end it? I don’t understand why so many people hang onto a lingering crowd of exes. Do you anticipate needing a +1 at some point that was at some point compatible and exciting? He’s not compatible or exciting if there was a big enough reason to call it off.

I think is a dead end. I genuinely wanted to be friend with my ex, because it was a nevermet LDR. As to conventional relationships, I would say that is necessary to cut all ties, without even considering friendship.

i have a friend request from an ex friend that's been sitting there since February. it's always "hi how are you?" talk for a bit. then disappear for months. and then do it again. this time i just stopped altogether and am ignoring it. we got in a fight when we were teens. i wish she'd just stop trying.
