I offered to let my crush borrow my book, should I put something in it?

so, today my crush was talking about his keyboarding class and I offered to let him borrow my piano book. I'm pretty sure he likes me back, everyone says we look cute together, but I don't think he realized that I like him back. I heard he was rejected a lot in the past, so I'm thinking that that has something to do with it.

so, I was thinking maybe I can write something in the book. maybe I can make it look like a doodle, maybe something S&R? should I just put in the book if he needs anything call/text me? I don't know what to do!

I had a girl write "I love XXXXXX" . And "XXXXXX" was my name. Right. And I sat in front of her in class. Well, I was turned around and talking to a bro of mine and she deliberately left her notebook open with the "I love XXXXXX" deliberately exposed and hanging off the desk so my bro could read it and tell me about it. It freaked me out and I never did talk to her again. I don't know why it freaked me out. She was kind of average looking so maybe that's why I didn't pursue anything. The whole "I love XXXXX" when we don't even know each other kind of scares people sometimes. The "love" word is pretty strong. I wouldn't use the word "love" until you are already dating each other for a while. I wouldn't even do the "S&R" either. That might be scary for him. I think just keep doing what you are doing and you need to steer the conversation around to where you are now doing stuff with him outside of school. So you need to kind of set him up in a way. Like for example, you see him and you talk to him about something and then you say, "hey, have you heard about that new bowling alley that has opened up. I haven't been bowling in a few months. My girlfriend and I were going to go but she canceled on me a few weeks. " Then say absolutely nothing and let him lead the conversation and hopefully he'll eventually get the hint. If not, give another hint.

horrible idea. I'm tired of people giving horrible advice. If you tell him straight up, it won't work. You'll probably scare him off. Either you'll scare him or he just won't respect you.

well its not like I'm in love with him. its just a crush. I mean I wouldn't go up to the dude and say " I LOOOVVVEEE YOOUUU BEE MIINNEE!" maybe like after a couple months and he doesn't figure out I like him I would attempt (and most likely fail) to tell him I like him and then just try to get over him.
