Is it best to ignore your ex after a breakup?

She texted me saying:

"Just want to say that I hope
your OK, 1 never wanted
things to get like this between
us both. I wish you all the
happiness in the future and

looking for in life. 1 will always
care about you, look after
yourself🙏"

It ended badly and she's a horrible person, I did everything for her - Is it better to IGNORE her and block her?

I’ve done both extremes before — one instance where I was too nice and accommodating with a break up (it only made things drag on and created unnecessary drama) and one instance where I was too harsh and cold (she claimed that I gave her PTSD for ignoring her completely).


I believe a moderate approach is best.


A decent middle ground is you can respond politely, but as stranger.


Perhaps something like, “Thank you for the good wishes. I wish you the best as well.”


Then if she tries to keep talking. You could say something like, “I’m trying to move on. Please give me space.”


And then, you can just ignore her indefinitely from that point.

Yeah if they are horrible, moving on and giving everyone the space they need to clear up is going to be the best solution. Why go down a bottomless pit kind of things.

I mean she isn’t owed a reply in general but I think the better answer here is maybe sit on this for a few days and see if how you feel changes in terms of wanting to reach out and just wish her the best. You really don’t need to reply instantly / reply in general. Do whatever you want to do

Better to ignore her wait a month or 3 and just message her nicely.

Confuse her and just have sex with her then get pissy and end it.

Use her like she used your feelings.
