If I gave my boyfriend a tablet that I pay for monthly via his account (I transfer the money each month) should I still pay this after we broke up?

So I got him a tablet for Christmas but did it via pay monthly, I was going to do it via ee but he said do it on his card using Samsung. So I did. I send the money each month. However he broke up with 3 weeks ago but still expects me to pay for the tablet. Should I still pay? Even though our relationship issues were fixable but he just chose to end it, not even speak to me and just be cold towards me instead of speaking about things and then possibly trying again.

Well honestly, if you think about it. Let’s say he got you a tablet for Christmas. Then you broke up w him. Would you still expect him to pick up the bill? To me yes that is screwed up if he just broke up w you for the hell of it. I can’t honestly say who was right or wrong as I’m only hearing your side of the story. I wouldn’t commit to something like this as far as purchasing my “girlfriend” something because there’s no guarantee we’re going to be together a year or even a mo th from now. Now if we were married sure I would. But even marriage doesn’t guarantee it, but I think there’s less of a chance of us separating if we’re married. I think maybe an option of going halves?

I definitely wouldn’t expect him to, he broke up with me but is now annoyed cause I’ve said I’m not paying due to how he just ended it and didn’t even try to fix the issues that were occurring

I definitely wouldn't keep paying if I were you. The tablet was a gift for Christmas when you were together, so it’s not really your responsibility now. Plus you broke up cause he acted so cold - that’s on him!

If I were you, I’d message him and say you won’t be paying anymore since you’re no longer together. Maybe offer to cancel the contract and he can take over payments if he wants to keep using it. But don’t feel bad or like you owe him anything.

Guys can be so immature sometimes breaking things off without even talking. You don’t deserve to be paying his bills now too! Don’t let him make you feel guilty - you did nothing wrong. Stand your ground sis and don’t let him take advantage. You deserve so much better! His loss.

He's totally taking advantage of you and your caring nature. Always messaging about the tablet payment but stonewalling any actual communication to work through issues. That's so manipulative of him. You deserve so much better than this one-sided, half-assed "relationship."

At this point I'd stop responding to any further messages about the tablet. You gave him ample chance to discuss things properly and try to reconcile, but he's clearly not interested beyond what he can get out of you financially. Don't let him string you along! Block his number if you need to.

Well, from the sound of it, you bought it on his credit card and are paying him monthly? If you broke up with him, you should have continued to pay since its only fair. Since he broke up and was a jerk doing it, you should stop pay it and let him deal with it himself.

If there is any obligation from your part, you only pay that amount, but don't feel bad for stopping the payment. If he insists, then you should receive back the tablet and keep it.

He broke up with me :( I said if we had tried again and it didn’t work and we had stayed friends I would of paid cause like the break up wouldn’t of been bad and at least we had tried, especially as the issues were fixable but he didn’t want to communicate about them and now his saying it’s blackmail..
