No, it's not cheating... he's fucking gone. It's cheating only if you agreed to be loyal, even if he disappears. Cheating is simply breaking agreed-upon rules... just like if we were playing chess or tag or whatever.

It's not wrong... a relationship sort of requires a person's presence... which is why LDR's usually don't work.

Like pretend we decided to be a couple and only you and me forever... but then I get hit by a train and I'm gone except for body parts splattered all over the place. Nobody is going to expect you to think it's cheating for moving on.

This sort of happened to me once. My Japanese fiance and I were fine, and then I got arrested my the military and while in the restricted berthing, some asshole stole my phone. No contact for like a year. I just disappeared. I didn't blame her at all. She did want to get back with me, but I was like thinking..."she did meet a British guy, and it's best to let her go be happy"

I'm just saying he probably already accepted you moved on or experimented and moved on himself.
