Ex friends with benefits stalking re reading old tweets, why?

A ex friends with benefits who claims has no feelings for me who dumped me 6 months ago has been stalking my twitter account ever since which is set private and my only follower so I know it’s him.
He re reads old tweets about my feelings for him that are months old few times a week, recently stopped a week ago n has started up again.

Is he regretting it or in denial.

I am not familiar with any of those social media but how can you know that he is specifically reading old posts? Is there a way to see who is reading specific posts?

As for why he is doing that, both of your options are valid. I personally think he is reminiscing about those times but I personally don' think it is denial. People that regret would tend to try to hold onto what they liked and if he solely reads old posts, then he is likely regretting. If he would be in denial, then he would also read the newer posts and not just the old ones.
