11 mo80/20... hmmmm, where else have I seen this ratio? Not talking about the Pareto Principle here...
But that stat about online dating... anyone else ever hear it? That 80% of all the women are only chasing 20% of the men. Correlation does not imply causation of course, but... it doesn't rule it out either does it?
Another stat I find interesting is close to that 80% of women initiate the divorce for whatever reason they want while the men usually only initiate it because she's cheating. Some wonder how many men are not happy and just put up with unhappy marriages. Meanwhile how many TikTok videos are there of women divorcing a happy marriage (their words not mine) and then regretting it for reasons like... thinking they can do better or just wanting to be free (to fuck other people) with no care in the world for their kids that will now be part of a broken family.
How about those stats... did you know women cheat more than men hands over fist now?
But just like that stat about 13% of the wizards casting over 50% of the black magic spells... correlations are not causations. So you can look for the cause... but what I see is women have an overabundance mindset right now which leads a butt ugly fat chick to chase dick despite all logic pointing in the direction that sure they can get dick, but they're not going to get commitment from some dude way out of their league. Thus, they sacrifice the dude in their league, to go chase that dream dick.
Good luck on finding a werewolf/vampire millionaire man that for whatever reason falls head over heels for mids ladies. lolz. He could have a really hot chick with a great background, but sure... divorce your man because he's gonna go for you and your already had children.
I blame it on what I call... the feminists fools gold rush.
I'm just shit talking but I'll argue anything I have stated here, because I'm an asshole.00 Reply

11 moMen are living like their grandfathers, that’s what’s wrong. In order to get a wife, grandpa didn’t have to do anything but have a steady job to pay for food and be decent enough that he didn’t physically beat his wife. Did that make grandpa a good husband? Hell no. He was still unhelpful around the house, defaulting all the parenting, home care, and emotional labor on grandma, who had no choice but to get married in order to be accepted in society at the time by the way, and she was exhausted all the time. You know “Mommy’s Little Helper”? Yeah, that was the title given to drugs like speed and cocaine because that was the only way some women were able to manage a household because they wouldn’t be able to do it sober.
And now that women aren’t required either by law, financial restriction, or societal pressure to be married to a man in order to be a member of society, standards have raised and being mediocre enough to not be bad isn’t good enough anymore, so they’re divorcing their husbands.32 Reply- 11 mo
On the mens side of this…. Most men would rather have a woman who wants him because she WANTS him not because she needs something.
Those type of marriages end up in someone being used
11 moTop reasons for divorce are infidelity, financial issues and abuse.
212 Reply- 11 mo
That's provably false. The #1 reason for divorce in the US (and many other places) is because the wife isn't happy, and thus it must be the fault of the husband, because everything is the fault of the husband.
Far too many women believe that marriage is supposed to guarantee that she will be "happy ever after", and when she isn't - regardless of the reason - she wants to trade in her man for a more exciting model.
Real abuse happens, but it's rare. In fact, did you know that the relationships with the highest rates of abuse are lesbian relationships?
Cheating is more common, but it's the reason for about 23%. of divorce - and that's cheating by either sex.
The reason for the majority of divorce, and the reason women initiate divorce so much more often, is because women believe that they DESERVE to be happy all the time, and that it's her husband's job to make it so, and thus, if she isn't happy, HE is somehow responsible, and some other man will do better.
Of course, it almost never works out that way for her... - 11 mo
- 11 mo
If you married a man so he could make you happy, you weren't ready to be married.
- 11 mo
@OlderAndWiser yes, you need to be happy in yourself and by yourself. Its unfair to put that responsibility on someone else.
- 11 mo
The problem is that happiness is a temporary and constantly changing thing, and there is no one with whom you will always be happy with. And the truth is that the reason most of those women are unhappy is because they were sold a fantasy that they could have it all, all at once, and that having it all would make them happy. They constantly compare their whole lives to the curated highlight reels of the people around them and believe that they aren't getting everything they deserve, when the truth is that no one deserves anything but what they make and earn. They compare their real lives to a fantasy and are shocked when real life comes up short. And it's then the husband's fault.
No man on Earth could live up to that standard - a standard that she herself is no where close to - but she's happy to destroy her husband and children on the way out so she can be happy. Except, she almost never is. - 11 mo
@MrOracle I do agree, there is an impossible expectation thats set out by mostly social media of these "perfect" people and lives. Even with that in mind, if someone feels unhappy in their relationship even if it's because the relationship isn't the fantasies they see online they should absolutely not be together as it's unfair on the other person.
A family that doesn't have reciprocated love in it is far worse than divorce. - 11 mo
If you are unhappy in your marriage, you should work together to make it stronger. You don't abandon ship because there's an iceberg 200 miles away. Marriages, just like relationships, require work, and that is a part of the mutual promises made when you agree to a committed relationship.
- 11 mo
Then do not marry.
If you cannot tough out a rough patch but immediately bail then you do not take marriage seriously.
NO ONE is happy all the time. ESPECIALLY women. - 11 mo
There is a REASON that wedding vows talk about things like "for rich or poor, in sickness and in health, until death do you part". You are expected to be an adult who has realist expectations and who knows going in that a marriage is both hard work and a team sport, which means it isn't all just about you (the person making the vow).
Up until the 60s, there was no "no fault divorce" and a divorce was only granted in pretty extreme circumstances with some real evidence to back it up. It was assumed that you did your due diligence before getting married because you were stuck with each other and had to make it work.
Too many women today simply see divorce as a normal and inevitable thing and they are incentivized to screw over their husbands - which is one of the reasons why so many men are not looking for serious relationships.
But change is in the air...

11 moPeople number one don’t know how to stay married and marry for the wrong reasons in the first place. Am I saying all women or men for that matter? Absolutely not.
Number one people marry for the wrong reasons just to realize that it wasn’t as cracked up as they thought it would be. Maybe, they just wanted to have kids and live the ‘perfect’ life. People also just get bored with their partner even resentful. They start thinking they can find better or feel as if they’re missing out on life. The grass is greener on the other side, meaning when you’re single you wanna be married when you’re married you miss being single.
Sometimes obviously things happen outside of your control. Your husbands amazing until he cheats, becomes abusive, or decided to file for divorce himself.

u 11 moIf only 20% of men get divorced, that accounts for 20% of the women getting divorced. So the other 60% is women married to women? Are you saying that more than half of the women in this country are in lesbian marriages?
10 Reply 493 opinions shared on Break Up & Divorce topic. Where are the 80% of the men that the women are divorcing?
00 ReplyWell only 60% of women divorce in the first decade of marriage. However it does get up to 80% on empty nest. Women are on a child driven cycle and it seems a lot divorce once the youngest child is in elementary school cause there is builtin child minding from that age.
At 8 years the breakdown is 70% of women no fault divorce but only 10% of men do that. 20% are joint divorces.
There are hidden divorces cause I think you have to take infidelity as proactive divorce. Some of the 20% joint divorces are probably one partner divorcing for cheating and the other partner saying I'm divorcing your no-good ass too.
Why? I think women are not so much divorcing but cashing out their marriage.
Another popular excuse is their emotional needs are not being met. I also think women have unrealistic expectations of their husband fixing all their pysch issues.
One girlfriend's parents expected me to fix her pysch issues when they hadn't been able to. Why society expects men to fix girl's pysch problems I have no idea because nobody has been able to fix pysch girls.
00 ReplyI am skeptical that 80% of divorces are initiated by women. Sounds more like myth than fact.
But let's say it's true - then I'd say it's because a) Women have more options than men do, and are more picky and demanding. There are more ways a man can disappoint a woman than there are ways a woman can disappoint a man.
And b) Men are in a weak position in the modern world. Their unique skills are less and less in demand. Women in the workforce means more competition for jobs. Higher status for women means higher expectations for men. Women find it hard to be attracted to a guy that is weaker than themselves. And the fact is that many modern men are doing worse in life than modern women are. Graduating less, socializing less, etc.
These are just my Red- or Black-pilled takes. Maybe I am off base.10 Reply
11 moUnfortunately getting a divorce has gotten much less painful over the years. It used to be the case that a man and a woman got married and with their vows they stayed married until death, no matter what happened between them (with rare exceptions).
Over the years the process for filling for a divorce and completing one has been streamlined and now one (or both) can decide to get a divorce for a number of reasons. And it seems to the couple much more painful staying married than giving up and failing at their promised vows.
Stats say that women choose to start to divorce more often than men these days and it’s for any number of reasons. But regardless if the married couple can’t work it out, they both failed in the end.13 Reply- 11 mo

Just answering the question. But ok
- 11 mo
I agree with with him. Women have more options out there. And are way too picky

11 moThe real reason is and there’s many standing jokes about this is that women are always looking for something better and will never truly be satisfied or happy with what they have no matter how good it is and they tend to change over the years, where men are basically the same person they married and don’t like change and in many cases will get half of everything in a divorce and even more if children are involved and if she doesn’t work then she gets alimony too, even when she is the one filing for divorce so it’s a big advantage with nothing to lose for them to get divorced so there’s nothing really stopping them from having any doubts doing it so that they can find someone better than before

Anonymous(30-35)11 mo@Razp_Sorbet Actually, the #1 reason for divorce, bay far, is lack of commitment. Infidelity is a distant second, and abuse doesn't even come close. That is based on multiple studies, and the information is easily available on the internet.
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4012696/
Combine that with the fact that women file 80% of divorces and it doesn't say very good things about modern women. And before you start trying to blame men for it, consider the fact that the highest divorce rate by far is among lesbian marriages, the lowest rate is among gay marriages, and the rate among hetero marriages is in between.
Society (and women) need to stop blaming men for the high divorce rate and start holding women accountable.
00 ReplyMy take on it is that their desires are in conflict.
Women want a man who is stable and predictable in order to raise children but also want a man who is exciting and unpredictable for romance.
Which means a woman will marry one man and when the kids age out, in a bid to rediscover herself, she'll leave her husband and seek out the company of men who will ravish her like in years past.

11 moMaybe a lot of women got married because they got pregnant and couldn't make it on their own. Then you have the women who fall for some real turds and wind up getting divorced. But remember, when a woman gets divorced then so does her husband, so they are evenly numbered, not one more than the other.
00 ReplyThe majority of women are terrible partners for long term, that is why relationships only involving women result in divorce and abuse far more than relationships only involving men. Women are the common problem in the majority of relationships.
00 Reply913 opinions shared on Break Up & Divorce topic. Most women come out on top during a divorce. The judge usually looks at what the household expenses at the end of the month and that is what the guy has to pay. He can live in what is left over if anything

Anonymous(45 Plus)11 moMost women shouldn't be getting married today plain and simple. If you don't go into it with the intent of divorce is not an option. Than you shouldn't even be considering marriage. That's probably where many women today are making thier mistake. The second mistake they make is they're not good partners or they're simply not choosing good partners, possibly both.

11 moI have never heard of a divorce where one got divorced and the other one didn't. I think the three major reasons for any divorce is infidelity, finances, lack of communication and it can be with either one in the marriage.
