Guys, If your girlfriend could no longer work for medical reasons would you break up with her?

In 2017 I was diagnosed with MS and out on partial disability for the medical coverage. I continued working up until a last week. My MS progressed and my doctors suggested that I stop working. I am going to have to be on disability full time. My boyfriend is on a very stressful work trip and so I don’t want to tell him until he comes home on Monday. I am nervous that he will break up with me because I can no longer work. Would you break up with a woman because of this?

Of course not, you don't abandon someone you love, especially when they need you the most.

She's still the person I want to be with; she just has some medical issues that are no fault of her own. When I love someone, then I'm there for them, and no illness is going to change that.

Life may be a little rough, at first, but we'd get through it together.

Yes. But don't take this comment personal because I know she'd do the same if I could no longer work due to medical reasons. Unfortunately it's a dog eat dog world out there, and that has also extended to the dating world. If you are able to find someone committed to you like that then you're doing better than most.

Good to know. But I wasn't necessarily remarking on your relationship. Just relationships in general. I hope he doesn't leave you either. I hope your relationship is one of the good ones. I'm just saying more often than noteither gender is usually going to leave the other. And odds are a woman is more likely to leave a man that cannot work, or is limited by his abilities to work. Conversely a man is probably more likely to leave a woman that bears an I'll child. I know, this doesn't speak highly to Esther's character. But I assumed you wanted an HONEST response to your question.
