Guys, Would you break up with your girlfriend if she would never join you on your vacation?

My boyfriend insists on going to the beach every year for vacation. I personally don’t like showing my body and I don’t like beaches so I wouldn’t want to join him ever. He also likes to go camping which is just not my thing. Are we doomed?

I would hope we could find a compromise. For example, my last girlfriend didn't like camping, mostly because she hated sleeping on the ground (she was both scared and uncomfortable). I got us a tent cabin site, which is a raised wood-framed structure with a heavy canvas top, and has raised padded "beds", a table, and a pot-bellied wood stove.

This made camping a totally different experience for her, and she loved it. She felt much safer and cleaner and the "bed" was much more comfortable than a sleeping bag on the floor of a tent.

It was really just a matter of understanding her objection and finding a solution to address that.

Similarly, if I wanted a beach vacation, I would try to find a place that had lots of covered places - bars and restaurants and maybe a stage for a band - so that there would be lots of places to hang out right near the beach where you could dress more modestly but still feel like you fit in and were comfortable. And maybe you could book a massage or something while I went into the ocean for an hour or two before meeting back up to eat and maybe listen to the band.

Or, maybe I'd just choose some other place for the vacation, and maybe only go to the beach every other year or something.

The point is: relationships are about making compromises of things that are less important. I would want my girlfriend to go on the vacation with me at least most of the time, but I'd certainly be prepared to make compromises to accommodate her desires and her level of comfort. That's just what you do in a relationship.

That isn't breakup worthy but we do need to have some things in common that we like to do.

Nope I don't mind if she doesn't want to come with me I have many other options
