Why does my ex husband avoid eye contact and brings up past?

whenever I see my ex he won't look at me and whenever we talk he brings up the fact that I chose another man over him, no matter what were talking about he works that in. ?( he abused me for years, I finally found a way out.)

we have 3 kids together. I see him every week. we have to see each other. and yes it causes me a lot of stress. I would love it if he had changed and would admit what he did to us all but he still acts angry at me for leaving him. I love him and want him in our lives but only if he has changed. I just want to know what he's really thinking. he def doesn't wanna use me for anything I assure u. he says he hates me. but his body language says other wise. I just wish a guy was around to clue me in

Prof Don nailed it I think. His actions, not his words, are the best judge of what he's thinking. Mostly, he is upset you left him for another guy and still wishes you guys were together. Only he'll be able to change if he wants to be civil. If anything, I would try to pull him aside and ask VERY NICELY that he at least try to be as pleasant as possible, if not for you, but for the sake of your children.

To me, it seems like he wants you back.

However, based on his history, his intentions may not be good.

He could just want sex, he could want you for money, or a roof over his head, etc.

Or he could've changed and learned his lesson.

Why are you still seeing your ex, assuming their are no children involved? If there are no kids, I don't see the point of having him in your life. It seems to be causing you a lot of stress.
