Why do I always bump into my ex's family??

I always bump into my ex's family... Weather it be her cousins, to her aunts, to her uncles, to her brother... Its so sh*tty... We broke up like I don't even remember how long ago... like 4-5 years ago.. She was my first true love... ANd I always bump into them, but never her... Its so f***in sh*tty... Like she left me, so why does her family keep popping into my life... They don't hate me.. But still, its just sucky.. you know?.,..

About 3 months ago I was stuck in traffic on the highway, and wouldn't you know it. Her aunts right next to me.. Looking at me and smiling... So w.e I said hi and I was all nice lol but still...

Then,

Yesterday I was going home from work on the subway, and I saw her aunt... I didn't say hi or acknowledge her... But I know she saw me...

Anyways.. I've had multiple run ins with her family over the course of these 4-5 years that we have never spoken/been apart...

Does any1 else have this problem? I find it so annoying...

P.s people... I don't live in a small city or town. I'm from Toronto Canada. If uve ever been here ull know its like a small NYC.

my mom talks about my ex all the time to me because we all lived in the same small town and went to the same small church/school etc anyways... yeah it's annoying and I wish she would stop talking about him because I've moved on to a new place but yet I hear everything about him and yeah if I was to live back in the same small town that I grew up in I would see his family all the time, his entire family was at my wedding but he wasn't

did you finish in good terms? well I didn't and his sisters,cousins,aunts even his mum have called me a hoer and most of them have beat me his aunt dragged me out of a taxi by the hair and trailled me about callin me a hoer and his sisters have wigged me in clubs/partys etc x

why does this upset you? do they like ask you wether youd like to get together with your ex or something? I think it's rude taht you'd be annoyed with something so minor like this. Always ignore them then you won't have problem dealing with it when you see them.

It doesn't upset me. its annoying! I do love her family. But unfortunately I have to play face now cause of what she's done. So its annoying You understand? miss attitude

I have gotten over it. And my ego isn't hurt. Its more of an annoyance of memmories. And her family is super kind, so its annoying to be reminded.

wow that's a big city , I near in a small town a few hours north so I was thinking it was like that type of an area but to run into them there in a massive city is weird but not impossible . you think it never happen but this kind of thing is still possible

Everytime you have the feeling that you might see her family member,

Wear a shirt that says in big bold letters, "I'M NOT WHO YOU THINK I AM."

So when one of her family members try to greet you you can say

"Can't you read god dammit!"
