They feel insecure because you literally just shamed one end of the spectrum of women. It's stupid pieces like this that make women feel like crap. You literally just compared women who are 5'7 and above to being a guy...

What the hell is that? So what, my tall female friends are guys to you? How the hell does height equal masculinity?
I don't know why men or women care this much about height, boob size, weight or any of this other shit people make takes about. Most men like women who are pretty to them, women with small boobs/big boobs, short, tall, skinny, softer, it doesn't even matter that much most of the time, sure men prefer certain things over others but a lot of them can still find a variety of women attractive. I'm so tired of these pointless battles of the looks.
My first roommate and I had a height difference of almost a foot. She's 4'10" standing up straight, and while she doesn't mind her height (except when she can't see or reach things), she hates being told she's cute, because she often gets the feeling that people see her like a child. I'm about 5'9", and I LOVE my height -I can see over people's head, and reach things and it's a lot easier to get taken seriously -especially if I'm in heels. The one (sometimes) exception is when I'm dancing -being the same height as or taller than my partner can make ballroom a little uncomfortable, and I so seldom find guys who are considerably taller that I'm not quite sure how to react when I do.
I'm 5'10", I wouldn't change my height for anything... but I get what you're saying. I've seen a few of these questions, too. It always confuses me because I always thought being short was a pretty common preference among men.
Models have A LOT of trouble dating because if a model is 5'7 and she wears heels then she will be taller than the average man which is 5'9 in the U. S

The fact that he is rich, already puts him in the minority and the fact that he is that tall puts him even deeper in the minority.
I have a feeling you've got some height issues yourself. Of course there are men that prefer short women but this doesn't make any sense.

Haha yeah @I_am_repulsive I mean it's kinda obvious each guy has got different preferences but I am guessing a tall girl the take owner fancied has rejected him because he is complaining girls don't like shorter guys.. every person likes something else so he shouldn't be saying guys don't like tall women because they do.
@notverycreativeguy of course he isn't right, there are lots of men that love tall women so this is just his preference and the reasoning he uses doesn't make any sense.
The real question is do the vast majority of taller women want shorter men?
I agree with you that there are many women that like taller men but certainly not all women. Most women don't even care when they are in love with a guy. But I have seen couples with taller women. Some guys like short girls, some guys like tall ones. Why would that be any different for women? @Take Owner

So you admit that this bothers you then? Still no reason to go and insult tall women. I agree that a lot of women like taller guys, yes, but hey you like shorter girls too so no problem right? A guy doesn't have to be extremely tall if the girl isn't either. But why are you even worrying about this because when you are in love none of it matters. And as I was saying, there are girls that prefer short guys. We don't even have to have this discussion because every person is different and what we say about it isn't going to change anyone's personal preference.

I do agree that shorter women shouldn't worry too much about their height. Unfortunately, it seems like the shorter dudes and the taller women are the ones who report height-related difficulties when it comes to dating.
Me personally, I don't really care that much about height. I'm a little taller than average at 6', and as long as she's shorter than me I'm good to go.

i am 5'10'' and i like girls close to my height 5'7-5'10'' to be honest, a little more than me is also fine but 6'+ i frankly feel bad about my own height lol, but i do find them attractive being tall and all, now the fact is most men i know they like short girls but this is my preference, i actually know a 5'8'' girl and she's gorgeous, like supermodel level gorgeous, she was complaining that she wished she were not more than 5'4'' lol coz she thinks its easier for them to be "cute",
and yeah never be under the impression that girls feel insecure about their height because they can't get men, the only reason height would disturb them is if they wanted to model or something or they were under 5', most of them know men like them shorter. Height insecurity is more of a male issue
In my case i find it to be harder being with tall girls becuse i don´t feel like i in control over the situation and as a male i think that´s just normal to feel like tall girls are having to big control over the situation. It´s in nature for girls accept males who are more confident than others and by being to tall a male may feel like he isn´t radiating enough confidence. This could be why some males, including me likes short girls more than taller ones. Simply becuse we assume it´s a harder challenge to make a taller girl love than 1 shorter but that´s just my own opinon.

it's your damn problem if you are 5'11. You know, there are plenty of guys who are 6 foot and more. So "these tall women, 5'7 and above" can actually find a partner taller than them. There actually aren't maybe in Hollywood. The average man is the u. s. is 5'9, so I am actually way above average. You have to keep in mind those are the most FAMOUS models that you see in the magazines not in real life. The AVERAGE salary of a model is actually about 20,000 in the u. s. The models that you are referencing are the most famous ones in magazines. Hollywood has skewed your perceptions.

Im actually 6'1 when im in uniform, my boots make me around 6'3-6'4.
I personally like shorter girls. Now dont get me wrong i also like tall girls as well. Its just i really love hugging girls who are shorter than me for some reason i really dont know why. I remember having a friend who i always used to hug for no reason at all.
Let me guess, you're a little shorty aren't ya? I don't know where you get that the "VAST" majority of men prefer short women. Sure, a lot do, & the VAST majority who do are the little wee short guys. well, you proved my point. You named some of the world's top models. Those are the exception not the rule because the AVERAGE model doesn't look like that. I am 5'11, which is very tall in the u. s.

Yes I have dated a guy shorter than me and about my height.
I love my shortness and it adds to my cuteness.^^ I think of it like a kitteh small, cute, and feisty. I don't like tall guys as in anyone 5 inches taller than me. Makes doing certain things harder and not as much fun because of that.
I never wear heels because they murder your feet and could cause some damage.
