Just another instance where women want to be treated equally until the rules displeases them. They want the good and leave the grudge to us. It's true, it's much easier to just stand there and wait for a guy to come pluck you and let him do all the efforts. I get why you would want that. But we're men right? We don't get to have it the easy way...
im not sure why people are interpreting men as initiators to men, men putting all the effort into a relationship. it's really annoying, the way people assume I'm so ignorant so as to completely ignore that men have feelings too, JUST because i chose not to write about them.

I am not sure if you are talking about me, but I don't think you are ignorant or that you ignore we have feelings.
To me, it sounds like "I am comfortable with gender roles when I don't have to risk being rejected, when I don't have to jeopardize my self-confidence. I want to be treated equally to men but only when it's better for me."
It actually makes a lot of sense. I sure would love to be treated equally to a woman when it's better for me. I would get my drinks and meals paid for. I wouldn't pay to get into a club. I could get all sorts of advantages. I would love it. But we can't...
If you gals want to be treated equally, you got to take the good and the bad.

To be honest, while my opinion stands, I really don't think SHE is like that.
Things will change and i hope at some point both sexes will move away from gender assigned roles. While what you say appeals to feminine nature it should not be employed by everyone. It simply does not take into account male desires, and labels males as doing something as a whole thus it has no place with some people and may perfectly work for others. One day everyone will have the balls to approach and not cling to old-fashioned courtship roles and childish drama surrounding it. I don't really want any response from you asker. Well written as usual.
It looks like I inspired you. All of this is true but getting a man like that to change from sleepy with many women to just takes a lot of time and maturing.

I remember talking to this girl that was interested in me, she just came out and said she wanted us to sleep together... one day she told me about a gentleman that had been courting her for 2 weeks, pulling out chairs for her, buying her flowers, treating her really well etc...
I turned her offer down in the end but the fact is, she wanted to do everything with me without courting but friend zoned the guy that was courting her. I've seen this many times... I don't think you will accept this though but remember this when you learn the truth one day.
In this hookup culture, courting is foolish. For every guy courting a girl, there is another guy that just sits back, sends her a text message and she comes over to his place..
Example.. I know. One guy was courting a woman, picking up her kids from school, giving her money and helping her but the other guy texts her and she PICKS HIM UP from his house, drives him to her place and they spend all day in bed...

Aren't you being a little bit hypocritical? You can't be a feminist and "old-fashioned" at the same time. You can't pick and choose which parts of equality you want. I've seen women approaching men all the time, there's absolutely nothing preventing them from doing so.
If you argue from "biology", then you're also arguing that women should never work in a management or leadership field. After all, men are naturally predisposed to being leaders. Just the way "it should always be". Do you agree with that as well? Because feminism has worked really hard to abolish that idea.
