So far every guy has paid for the 1st date I've been on and I wasn't expecting it. I thought guys were all about splitting the bill or no paying since he may not get sex out of it... glad to see that's not the case

  I agree that if he's interested it sets a much better impression if he pays on the first date and I'm more likely to go for a second with him since it demonstrates an attractive character trait in him.
  However, if I'm not interested in him then I'll insist that we split the bill as I wouldn't want to feel like I may be taking advantage of him.
