I will discuss my 1st dating experience and why I'm glad my girlfriend made me dress properly and why I became so attached to girls and women wearing dresses and why she wanted me dressed so well
Meeting Lisa
I met Lisa at a yard sale in May 2009 and she immediately caught my eye. We bought some items there: videos games, a few books and households. After about 2 hours, I asked her about going to a dinner and a movie and she agreed.
Dinner and movie
I was not old enough to drive yet, so my dad picked up Lisa and I opened the car door for her and she gave me a kiss and thanked me. I was so happy we were going well and getting along. It excited me over what the night would bring. I pull Lisa's chair out for her and seated her. I didn't work yet but had over $55 saved and ordered Lisa and myself dinner. I didn't know what she liked so I asked her and she told me beef ravioli, collards and cornbread with sweet tea. I ordered hers first, then I ordered chicken, broccoli with rice and Fettuccine soup with a Sprite. I ended up spending about $33 and had enough for 2 movie tickets. Since no snacks were needed, I waited about 30 minutes until Revolutionary Road was to start. This movie had already been out for 4 or 5 months since it came out in December 2008. Lisa loved drama and romance movies and films. Sadly, I had to watch it with my dad there, since I wasn't 17 yet and it was rated R. I lacked a few months being 16 and Lisa had just turned 16 a month ago. She was okay with that but Lisa still entered first and sat first, so same chivalrous rules applied.
Pants is what she liked me wearing
I am glad Lisa was strict and tough on me. She made me wear pants everywhere: skating bowling, movies, church and Valentines banquets. This was before I played tennis, which she would fairly have had no issue with me wearing shorts for to play in. She made sure I was well dressed and women today don't encourage their boyfriend or men in their life to wear their best to strife for clothing etiquette. They just don't speak up and have no part or say in what the boy or man chose. I loved Lisa and was with her for 8 years until divorce in 2017, which I won't discuss here.
Our son together named Russ
We got married on July 26th 2012 after over 3 years dating and had a son together on September 26th, 2014, and oddly exactly 26 months after we married and I am currently aged 26. It was strangely a grand slam of 26s going on: married on 26th, 26 month gap until son we decided to name Russ was born also born on 26th and am currently aged 26. Odd, isn't it? Yet 26 is an even number and number of letters in the alphabet.
Conclusion:
I still value traditional dating where females wear dresses or skirts and males wear pants and males open up the doors and pay. Regardless of later struggles, this should be a skill that dads teach their sons. Thanks for reading!
