What God taught me about love today

Today I was chatting with a woman in a zoom group and she said she had a new man in her life, they met because she had a PhD in botany and he was a professional honey maker, maple syrup maker, wood cutter and hunter. She went to the store to buy honey and they began chatting about their shared interest and knowledge and now they are boyfriend and girlfriend.

What got me about this story is that

1) She was minding her own business and not actively looking for a boyfriend when she met him.

and

2) The relationship is based on the hard work she previously put into getting her PhD in botany’s

So I have heard similar stories from others who find the man or woman of their dreams and in each case, it happened when they were not looking for love, were minding their own business and the relationship was based on the previous sacrifice and hard work they put into living their lives.

You will never find a man or a woman if you are desperately seeking for somebody to take away your isolation or depression because a relationship is based on what you have and not on what you need. Only when your happy and comfortable, will you get an opportunity to meet the right person that God wants you to have and when you meet them, things will be far better then you plan or think they will be and you will be fully ready and equipped to handle it.

I'm not religious, but I agree with the rest.

If you are actively seeking a partner, you're more likely to settle for the wrong person. If you focus on bettering yourself and enjoying and valuing what you have instead, then love is more likely to come only when it's most genuine - because you're not just seeing a potential partner in anyone who catches your eye, in fact you're not looking at all. So when you fall in love, you know it's for all the right reasons, and not because of anything forced or intentional.

Where is god?

He's in me and all other believers. He (as the Holy Spirit) helps us be discerning in everything - IF we listen. He's out there when I'm swimming in the lake. He was in the Aspen trees in the beautiful mountains when we were in Colorado. His creation is all around so I see him wherever I am. But He's also there during disasters - and in wars like what's happening in the Ukraine. He is not the evil - He's what helps believers deal with the evil. I can't POINT to God. I can't explain God. But I FEEL God. Wish you could, too.

Why do you people have to always be so ironic about God. Let people talk about their faith in peace man.

@jordieloid Thank you for saying that. I also wonder why people get SO upset when they disagree with someone. I feel very strongly about my faith and I truly have concern about those who don't believe. But I would never belittle them or talk down to them. I'm always open to discussions about stuff and, TBH, I believe comments like that one before yours are childish and are usually put forth by people who cannot articulate their opinions like adults. They believe condescension demonstrates superiority. They're mistaken. :D So, thanks again.
