1. Both short men and overweight women have to deal with discrimination because of their height and weight, respectively. However, The general public doesn't take discrimination towards short men as seriously, the discrimination is mostly justified because "it's just a preference" but when a man says a negative thing about a woman's weight, he will be canceled immediately, and in some countries it can even lead to Legal Prosecutions.

2. Only extreme cases of women obesity receive much hate, women who are slightly overweight "chubby" are actually preferred by some men. On the other hand, even men who are just below 6ft still get judged for their height.

3. Men can't fix their height, but women can, at least in most cases.

I don't know, is there really a lot of short men descrimination?💀 man, atp why would you even date someone who judges you by something you can't change, red flag in my opinion. It basically filters out the bad people who would judge you like that, so I don't know why its a bad thing lol

also i would just like to say, i think its important to distinguish between overweight women, and just larger or fatter women. I think you already did this in the question, but i feel its important to note. In general women have more body fat than men, so like, i feel like its kinda considered ok for them to be a little fat. What isn't ok is if they are obese or obviously fatter than what is considered okay🤷‍♂️

But one thing is a short man has absolutely no control over his height. It’s genetically set. An overweight woman on the other hand can change her body shape if she really commits to doing so. It’s a difficult change but it is possible.

I am 6ft and athletic by the way. But I do feel for short guys occasionally.

I will say this you’re right in MOST cases (there are some exceptions) weight is a choice but height isn’t. Forget about people who don’t accept you for what you can’t control focus on quality of attention as opposed to quantity.

Sometimes people who get a lot of attention from the opposite sex aren’t getting it from the most upstanding people there is out there. I’m just being honest there is food in both sexes. Focus on the good and who genuinely wants you. Who cares about the rest.

At least they aren’t wasting your time. People with superficial and unrealistic standards they will never hold themselves to but then also feel entitled to someone else. They’re going to be extremely disappointed to be honest even if they got everything they wanted they still would never be happy. Let them make someone else miserable

I’m 5’6” and weigh 225 lbs. when I was younger and skinnier in my late 20’s I did date a guy who was shorter than me. Many women are picky about men’s height, I’m not. Not going to lie, I do prefer a man at least my height, but it’s not a huge deal if he’s a bit shorter.

I’ve only been rejected once for my weight, and my attitude about it was just “oh well, the wrong guy filtered himself out”. If a man is short, his height basically weeds out the wrong girls, even though it may not feel that way try to see it like that. Not all women are picky about height and the ones who are aren’t worth your time.

Very true. If a woman is not absolutely massive, she usually has a chance. Then again, I know a girl EXACTLY that with risk of being hospitalized any day and she STILL had a boyfriend. But a difference between her and some other massive girls is personality. She has one of the best personalities I've ever encountered in a girl. Without that, I can't see her as having much if a chance with a guy. We all know the reality if it was gender reversed though. As for guys that are not exactly as tall as girls want? I'm not sure how much height actually plays into things. But wouldn't be surprised either.

I think overweight women have it worse. People judge you on your appearance. It shouldn't be the most important thing but it is. She's not overweight but my mother in law and husband is. I try to explain this to my daughter who eats like a pig but she doesn't care.

I knew a guy who was almost dwarf size yet had a hot 6 foot tall wife. Was a family friend when I was growing up. I always tell short guys this story when they are whining about not being able to get women & they never want to believe me. This short guy had the type of personality where you never thought of him as short and gave him 100% respect. Friendly guy yet serious type too. He did well for himself career wise but he had the personality to get women before that too.

Not only was she fine as hell but she personally knew guys who were worth millions and hundreds of millions.
